Description
The Diamond Heart sountrack is an original composition by LikeFire1989 using classical orchestral themes to bring together a large sound to represent the story of Wyn, our protagonist. All three tracks were created and composed in Ableton.

Step into the world of our young and unlikely hero, Wyn, as he embarks on a daring quest in the Realm of Lumina, the Land of the Waterkin, to find the Diamond Heart, a magical stone rumored to reside in the deepest depths of the Darkreach Waters. Legend says it grants its holder the ability to manipulate time and traverse worlds. Zenith, the Lord of Darkveil, seeks the throne of Lumina and will stop at nothing to claim the Heart.

Wyn is set on this quest by the Elder of Silverleaf, a small village in Lumina. Accompanied by his loyal companion, Flicker, a magical badger, Wyn embarks on a journey filled with fantastic adventures and peril. Together, they must stop Zenith's malevolent pursuit and restore peace to the world of Lumina.

I really like the way some more medieval sounding things are blended with more modern synth elements and leads throughout. Gives an interesting classic + arcade-y mix and vibe. Also the chords at the start of Beyond the Veil are really catchy. Great work!

Your soundtrack catches that grand magical adventure vibe very well.

The Diamond Heard ) Very epic and you feel the gead adventure starts. I feel like I stand on the frond border of a ship as the waves clashing in.

Winds and Wispers) forboding, enchanting mystical atmosphere.

Beyond the Veil) Great finale. It also catches that adventure feeling but with a heavyer aditude, like in the middle of the climax.

Nicely done

I can really imagine your OST fitting well with the artwork you used. I recommend delving deeper into Wyn's story because it would clarify the use of certain music within the video game. As for the music, I have to say they are well-written, the medieval sound used is fitting, and I like the timbral choices you made. Everything sounds very good, it's definitely a yes from me!

Hola! :D

I gave your soundtrack a listen and I am so excited that I got to hear yours. I had listen to several submissions, but this is the first one that I heard that utilized the approach of bigger motions (like real deal composing) and you also nailed it! Your portrayal of the theme(s) as well as their evolution/"thickening" is truly impressive. Lots of people  fall victim to the game-space limited mindset, in which they must do something "new" or "different" every couple of measures or so, as OSTs back in the day had to make the most they could,  and make it memorable, all within the limitations (like under 1 minute, maybe 2, per track, and this is on things like the NES, SNES,  etc.)

I love a captivating track, but I also love a well-thought out/stretched out one all the more. You did a phenomenal job on really bringing forth the musicality within your works. Aside from  the theme of the jam, I am amazed at the writing and delivery on its own. Great job! :D

Really appreciate your kind words.  Really loved Yui and Kuida as well!

I like this a lot! sounds very RPG-like, and reminds me of something you’d hear in the 16-bit era of RPGs, like from Chrono Trigger, or Secret of Mana. Nice work!

Developer

Chrono Trigger is one of my favorite games and was one we had in mind while writing these. Thanks for the kind words and feedback!

I like how it is medieval sounding. As others said, it reminds of Final Fantasy. Cool stuff.

Really neat vibe you have going on! It feels very adventure RPG in a great epic way. My favorite track is Wind and Whispers, I really love how serene it sounds and how it feels like it's breathing. Great work, would have loved to have more information on the game concept!

Love the sense of adventure and hopeful sound of the music! Reminds me of stuff like Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy. I would've loved to hear about your game concept and what lead you to choose this style of music though!

Developer

Hey thanks a lot! We just sort of let the melodies fall out and build around it. We decided the first day on an adventure style concept and it came together from there. We’re sort of new to orchestral arrangements but are absolutely loving writing this kind of stuff. Thanks again!
