Description
Inspired by my time growing up in Belize, I chose to create a soundtrack that blended Caribbean and Afrobeat sounds with rock and traditional JRPG styles.
Made with Ableton Live 11
Message from the artist
This was definitely challenging for me as I had never seen an RPG adventure based in Caribbean culture. It was hard to imagine what that would look and sound like. However, I do truly believe an adventure like this should exist and this passion fueled me to finish the project.
Theme
How does it fit the theme?
This is a story of two siblings who return to their childhood imaginary world.

I liked We shouldn't be hare a lot! It sounded both dangerous and fun at the same time!
Your songs have a cool and unique style that works really well, great job :)
this is amazing!! reading that it is inspired by your time growing up in belieze instantly made the whole thing blend together so well!
sibling Adventure - heh.. from the very start, the soundtrack makes itself felt! Amazing rhythm and combination of instruments!
Bored - Hey, that sounds cute! I especially like the fact that these two ukuleles (It's a ukulele, right?) they seem to live in two different worlds.. Heh)
We Shouldn't Be Here - Ok... IT'S COOL and very vibe)
Childhood Well is a short sad ending...
I liked your work! Although it is small, it is very intense!
3 cute little loops !
Enjoyed a lot the 2nd track ;) cool drums and rythm
Good job^^
Sibling Adventure: This rhythm and then the minor iv chord usage! A groove.
We Shouldn't Be Here: The Caribbean influence is especially notable here. I grew up listening to a lot of similar rhythms so this one particularly resonates with me. Loving those descending minor chords.
Childhood Well: Another cool progression. Love this minimal instrumentation.
Great work!
Wow, it is definitely very original and the initial idea is a valid one, even though it's not easy to achieve. The mix is very clean and balanced, and the choice of instruments as well. I might have given a bit more prominence to a central musical theme because in a video game soundtrack, it's important as it highlights and emphasizes the qualities/emotions of your protagonist. I recommend writing a more detailed story because it gives even more value to your music! That said, I think your work is very interesting, well done! (Childhood Well is for sure my favorite... Wonderfull textures and fit very well as a theme in a videogame, or also as music for exploration).
I appreciate that you took a personal event as inspiration and as a starting point. Thanks for sharing it.
Also, what an interesting and challenging concept you chose to combine such different genres. Very brave! Great job!
Tell me if you create more music of this type. I would love to listen to it.
You did a great job on the percussion! The rhythm and instrument choices overall worked well together. Nice job!
This is a really good entry, I especially liked the percussion throughout - it made the mix sound really full and complex. Another highlight was the guitar on the second track, it creates a great atmosphere.
In my opinion the songs would be made even better by the addition of a strong lead melody part, but of course not all music needs that, and I guess one of the main aspects of Caribbean music is the percussion and rhythm (which you nailed!).
This was a really fun listen! The percussion patterns got me moving and I liked the instrumentation a lot. You clearly have a love for Caribbean inspired music and blended those aspects well! One note that could help in the future is to think about how your instruments conversate with each other. It’s hard to get out of looping and layering, but if you treat each instrument as something that can carry its own weight, you’ll find that you won’t have to stack so much and you’ll get more longevity out of your ideas.
Thank you! And thanks for the feedback , this is really helpful! :)
I love this, your rhythms first of all, so complex and stylish. Nice choice of instruments, they go well with each other and create a very colourful image in my head. Someone should make a game with your music!
Thank you so much!!
