For this project I chose just the text theme "Inside my world" and envisioned an imaginary FPS game blending the esthetics of Quake and System Shock. It takes place in a crossover between a derelict space station and a grim endless castle floating in the void - imagine the space station but with thick stone walls. Main character is thrown there as an accident in interdimensional travel and has to fight for their life in the world controlled by a central ancient machine / AI gone rogue (hence the "Inside my world" theme). My process is pretty chaotic as I just improvise and loop around, this time I really wanted to mix this dark gritty atmosphere with some light motifs and dnb/trap drums to achieve this mix between the styles I envisioned for the imaginary game.

1. Injection + Roaming the Halls - intruductory track accompaning the character being thrown into this savage realm blending computer machines and stone blocks followed by the battle loop to shoot and rip through the minions of the ancient machine.

2. Medbay Ritual - player finds a momentary respite in a medbay, where the glowing artifact of healing power floats in the air. The cutscene slowly pans through the room as the world stops for a few moments as player regains health.

3. External Intervention - the battle loop which plays during the mini boss battles and major encounters (where other otherwordly creatures keep teleporting into the huge halls of the castle station).

4. Desintegration - the end credits theme playing as the ancient machine gets destroyed after the tiring battle, which also results in the sacrificial death of the player themselves. As we witness the flashes of colors and parts of this doomed universe desintegrating into pieces followed by the player entering the state of an endless void, the credits roll and the high scores are being shown.

Software used: Ableton Live 11 Lite for the music, Photoshop and Blender for the cover art.

I liked the low key intensity of the battle loop!

Amazing work really, that first track got my heart pumping and the mix is great (considering so many other entries are crazy heavy on the mid)

THAT FIRST TRACK GOT HEAT THOUGH. 🔥🔥🔥

Definitely nailed the gritty yet atmospheric feel! Desintegration was my favorite track. I also really liked Injection + Roaming the Halls, as it grabbed my attention right away and really pulled me into the world you made!

Hurray! Someone else was making the soundtrack for FPS! I appreciate it)

Injection + Roaming The Halls is interesting... ambient breakbeat? It's curious ....

The Medical Ritual is ambient, which tells me: "Dude, relax and enjoy peace of mind while you can" (How do you even do this?!)

External Intervention (battle Loop) - Oh... that BASS - IS FIRE!

Disintegration (end Credits) - Sounds like... A soothing bit. Heh)

Good and creative work! I liked it)

P.S. I love the atmosphere of Quake)

The battle loop goes pretty hard

Digging the vibes in Injection and Roaming the Halls. Like your protagonist is lost in this strange place and their senses keep focusing in on different things and feelings, with sights and sounds changing as they explore.

Felt myself drifting into space with Medbay Ritual. Placed me there. Loved it.

That bass on External Intervention, mmf.

I think Desintegration is my favourite. Found myself swimming the the sounds and hypnotised. Great stuff overall!

Fantastic work. I hope it's not weird that Medbay Ritual was my favorite. You nailed the ambient vibe with that one.

This was a fun set of nice, ambient tracks I love the arpeggiator feel of your bass line for the 3rd track, can’t tell if you’re actually using one for that but the effect is really good. Nice work!
