Description
You are trapped in an alien spaceship, far from your home planet. You must find a way out along with destroying the entire ship in the process. Are you willing to do what it takes to survive?
Genre: Cyberpunk, Industrial, EDM
DAW: FL Studio

The one I spent the most time is Deadline. It took me more than half of the producing duration, but I am happy about the outcome. The one I enjoyed making the most is Everything's Under Control beause of the tones I get to play with. The first one I made is Open Fire.

Storyline:

0. Intro
You wake up in a dark cage made up of alien structures. Unbeknownst to them, the cage was left unlocked, giving you with a chance to leave.

1. Endless Corridors
You travel through the strange labyrinth of rooms, hallways, and corridors as the creatures begin searching for you. You must evade them.

2. Distant
Finally, you've lost them. It's time to roam around the ship stealthily. [This soundtrack may also serve as the background ambient.]

3. Open Fire
After finding a weapon, you are shortly greeted by the familiar yet unfamiliar faces. Time for battle!

4. Everything's Under Control!
Fortunately, you stumble upon escape pods that can get you out of here. But before that, you must reach the control room and destroy this ship!

5. Deadline
With only minutes left to make it out alive after setting a timed self-destruction, you must make a run for the pods.

Message from the artist:
Please don't forget to give feedbacks! I would like to hear how I can improve. The use of headphones is extremely recommended. ^^

How does it fit the theme?
It fits the theme perfectly from the storyline to its actual soundtrack. The gritty and futursitic theme sets the theme for the rest of the album.

I really like the ambiance and the atmosphere in all of these tracks, really creepy in the best way possible for some, and super fast and heavy synths for others. Awesome Stuff!

Distant is my favorite, love the atmosphere painted here. This is a cool set of tracks, main feedback would be that the tracks are a bit repetitive. You could add a section using different sounds, or with a different progression to add some variation. This really fits a cyberpunk jam, particularly the last track! Great work!

Good soundtrack, now just make the game for it, story sounds promising ^_^.

Nice stuff, I liked both the intense and ambient cuts. From my perspective best ways to improve would be to add a little bit more variety, like add some layering sometimes, or melodic development (Deadline is awesome in this regard). Also this is more of a nitpick, but this might be important for serious releases, the loudness of different tracks is different (Everything's Under Control! is clearly quieter than everything else, and it threw me off a little bit). Maybe look into a plugin called Youlean Loudness Meter and how to use it, can be quite helpful. Other than that good job,.

Also I see that the screenshot is FL Studio Mobile, and if you made all that on mobile I give you extra respect!

Wow this really gave me the creeps at times! Good work evoking an unsettling mood

Great sound design and production. Cool variety from track to track. Great atmosphere, really gives off vibes of shooting aliens in space (and it's rated M for Mature :D). They should call you up for the next Doom game.

Fun pitch shifting synths on Deadline.

I was expecting a bunch of chill tracks after the Intro, but Endless Corridors really hooked me with its juicy bass and pounding drum track. Feels very tense and foreboding.

Some really cool pads and synth patches all over this soundtrack, definitely gives me alien vibes. Open fire is a lot of fun, too!

Well done!

Mega cool vibes and use of filters to create atmosphere. A couple of muddy mixing moments when everything is going, but overall was impressed by how you pulled off the dichotomy between the more atmospheric moments and the bass-forward grooves.

Going into this blank (didn't read the descriptions yet). Here are my first impressions:

Abducted - Cool opening. Creeps me out. Definitely getting some vibes here that we've been abducted by some alien species. Really like that creepy LFO thing. Definitely starts with a solid mood. You've peaked my interest.

Endless Corridors - Nice one. This feels like an FPS. A creepy one, but not a jumpscarey one. Well done.

Distant - I feel like we've entered some room where we learn more about the plot. What brings us here, and what horrors have they already inflicted upon our people. The piano makes it feel very pensive. Nice work.

Open Fire - Oh yeah, this sounds like we found a gun and it's now high time to take the party back to them.

Everything's Under Control! - This one is alright, but it didn't capture me as much as the others.

Deadline - I like this one. Especially the part around 2 minutes makes me feel uneasy, in a good way. Those dissonant bits that follow add to the tension as well. Also really like that synth gliding up and down. It all feels a bit otherworldly.

Hah, I love how close I got from just the tracks. Means you did a great job!

Favorite: Distant. Close second and third are Endless Corridors and Abducted.

Wow! You had that accurately. :0

Overall, a very nicely planned out soundtrack! It has a cohesive sound to it and in general is really nicely mixed!

Distant is so good! That piano on top of the bass drone, lovely .. and then you get slammed with Open Fire, really cool! And then Deadline tops it all off really nicely!

Thank you for the feedback!!! ^^

The sound design is great. Good job! The battle theme is a banger! Your breakdowns are good, but you could improve the overall dynamics by including those drops mid-track to break up the repetition a bit. :)

Gotcha. Thank you!

I like this submission quite a bit. I could really see your talent shining through in Deadline. I also liked the other songs, but they mostly all felt like they were missing a little touch; I found most of your other songs mostly looped the same thing for a minute or so, with minimal additions. I'm not saying it's bad though-- it was very fitting, and so far you're a top 10 on my submissions list-- all I'm saying is, as a constructive criticism, if you're going for a simpler song such as many of the ones in this submission, there needs to be a little extra spice, otherwise attention is lost, and it gets repetitive. You could do this by shifting the melody a little sometimes, or adding another melody on top of it at times that supports the main melody.

Thank you for the constructive feedback. I will keep it in mind!

Unique feel in each piece, makes for a captivating story. I like the spaceship door swooshes in Endless Corridors. Distant is eerily beautiful (could benefit from a subtle melody though). Open Fire kept me on my toes, great battle theme. Everything's Under Control sounds loses all the creepiness. very appropriate. Deadline is perfect for one of those game scenes where you have a timer counting backwards. I can feel the urgency in the gradual buildup, then the alarm sound. Nice work!

Thank you for your feedback! ^^

I like how you've chosen to focus on creating an actual soundtrack that is very much usable in a game! The songs sound great, nice mixing and instruments, and they fit their intended uses. My only complaint is that most of the loops are too short! But considering the jam's time limit, it's understandable. The last track is amazing.

Also, kudos for using FL Studio Mobile, I love that software! I was debating between using desktop FL Studio of the Mobile version, but I'm a bit faster with a mouse so I decided to go for the former. You're amazing at it. Awesome entry!

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! FL Studio in PC would probably the best bet for you as it is more capable than mobile, but I just improvised with what I had due to my computer specifications.

Submitted(+1)

I've used both and the PC version is definitely more powerful, but Mobile is quite powerful as well and I find that limitations often increase productivity and creativity :) Either way, great entry and best wishes to you!

Nice job! Each track fit the theme well! I think my favorite was Endless Corridors!
