Description
You're a genius inventor, or at least that's what people use to tell you. But now you're just an outlaw, and you're cornered. You have no choice but to use it... Even though it's only 1976, you have already understood most of quantum mechanics while your peers are only starting to comprehend it's applications. And so you created the impossible: a time travelling machine which you used to study ancient history and predict future events.

Yet now it's time to leave for good, so what better place to blend in than a cyber-era filled with incredible technologies and where laws are as gray as your cat Gibbson.

Let's set for 2150! Only this time is different, this time the CTPTTFATP (Committee that prevents Time Travellers from abusing their power) is onto you...

Message from the artist:
This was a really challenging jam for me as I'm really not used to writing electronic music, but it made me go out of my confort zone which is great! (I did manage to sneak in some orchestral bits at the end though hehe)
The synths I used were mainly Vital and the Alchemy synth from Logic.

How does it fit the theme?
The idea is set in a cyber future and the track was composed using mainly synths

Nice job! Such arp! All your bass belong to us!

Oooh loving the glitchy effects! Such an atmospheric track, this is perfect for the theme.

I think it's interesting that you don't usually make electronic music, because the resulting track has a different touch - you could definitely pursue this style further, the results are awesome!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the listen! Yeah I'm definitely planning on incorporating some electronic elements in my future tracks. I'm still relatively new to making music so I haven't found my style yet but working towards it!

Nice... i like how classic orchestra overtakes finale! Good job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the listen!

Nice work! I really like how you mixed electronic with orchestral, worked really well in the end. Also that piano part sounded beautiful, especially around 2:20. Nicely done!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot! I really like hybrid orchestral and I'm working on using that in the tracks I'm writing!

Love the dynamic between the eerie middle part, and the rest of the song, really cool!

Developer

Thank you for the listen!

Really cool and ambient sound, and I love the glitchy/breakbeat kind of sound around 1:26 and 2:58. Also I love the time travel element you built into the story, I could totally feel that idea in the track!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Yeah I had a lot of fun playing with stuttering effects!

Great track!  The mix between electro and classical is very well done

Developer(+1)

Thank you!

I loved the glitching effects, the piano interlude with that panning texture, and the slow but satisfying orchestral build at the end!

Developer

I'm glad you liked it! I had a ton of fun writing that piano interlude kind of as a center piece, to give a bit more sense to the story

Going in without reading the description, first impressions:

Cool opening with that pitching synth. Love how it interacts with the space around it as you're gliding it. Lots of cool sound effects. Loving all the textures, the glitchiness, and just how progressive this feels. There's so much to listen to.

Ooh, a small piano interlude. Interesting. Cool crackling texture too. Feels very uneasy. Ooooh beautiful once the strings come with.

There's something about the sound design on this. It sounds both new and old if that makes sense. I feel like I'm watching a cyberpunk movie in an old cinema. It's a great thing.

Now after writing all that, reading the description makes total sense. Man ... you hit this one out of the park. Amazing work! I'm impressed.

Thanks a lot for your detailed feedback I really appreciate it! Happy to have taken you on this journey 🙂

Man, that Committee should hire the CFATAUDTS (Committee For Acronyms That Are Unnecessarily Difficult To Spell :D

Jokes aside, I love the volume gates. Nice sonic landscape, and layers, and then comes the absolutely lovely piano breakdown and then the orchestral bit with the gated synths and such! Was a great journey listening to this track!

TIAGYEI (Thanks I'm glad you enjoyed it)! 🙃

Excellent vibes throughout the track! Feels like each section progresses the story that is musically told

Developer

I tried to give each section a purpose in the track while keeping everything cohesive  so I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Ooooh, biiiiig spooky bass energy right off the top! Super cool progression, and I found the track really engaging and pleasant to listen to the whole way through. Lots of emotional twists and turns, which is tricky to do! I think “cinematic” is the key word here!

I know you’re new to electronic music, but this was a great start! My favorite part of the track was near the end, with the orchestral swells complemented by frenetic arps and percussive chops. Really cool stuff!

Developer(+1)

You got me, I'm a sucker for cinematic tracks 😄 My favorite part is the one mixing electronic and orchestral elements as well. Glad you liked it and felt the emotions I tried to convey!

Submitted(+1)

Love the chord progression (similar to the first half of my track haha) always love the i-II movement. The glitchiness towards the middle is attention-grabbing in a good way. And that ominous, emotional piano in the second half is beautiful and haunting at the same time. Great composition and sound choices.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I took inspiration from the track "Playground" in the Arcane series for the composition and some of the effects. And I'm pretty happy with the chord progression! It's subtle but it changes into a i-v-II-VI on the last part (2:50) for extra epicness hehe

Submitted(+1)

Just went back and listened for that! Gives a really dire, tense feel that matches your track description!

Submitted(+1)

I love this! You really do the ominous chord progression justice with the steading building melody and combination of gritty synths. And that arp! I love the glitch effect you use at 1:25 and a few other times. I can't describe why but it just fits so well. One of my favorites so far, great job!

Developer

Thanks a lot! Yeah it was really fun playing around with glitches and adding "ear candy" here and there. Glad you liked it!

This sounds very good especially considering you've gone out of your comfort zone! Sound choices are solid and the composition is great. I'd love to hear an updated version of this in the future with a more polished mix

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! I'll make sure to be careful with layering next time I think I stacked too many instruments so it was hard to mix properly haha
