Description
Made for Lone Rabbits CRUNCTIME 02 OST Jam:
The game idea is that there are multiple teams, each team owning a train station. Its a basic team 3rd person shooter, but you're jumping around on trains. You can hack trains to stop them from going to different stations. If there are no more trains going to your station and you die, you are permanently out of the game, and a team wins, when its only their team left. (Similar to minecraft bed wars)
The song Cyber-rails will be played when playing, and the theme Cyber-rails: Train will be played when on a train. This theme is a lot more unsettling, and tense, as you're just waiting to go for the action on a train, or you are currently hacking it, which is also tense, as you dont see around you.

I love the cyberpunk train idea, a couple of people have had it but they've all been so cool and creative, including this! Love the vocals in the first track and really cool stuff going on in the second. Great stuff!
Cyber-rails - Nice worldbuilding with the sound effects and vocal clips. Nice melody too. My favourite part in this one is the lead.
Train - Cool opening. Really like that pad that feels like it's under a ton of pressure. Like it's being crushed by a heavy weight. Really nice ambiences too. And those drowned out vocal-like sounds sound cool.
My favourite is train. I really like the tension it builds.
I don't know if you noticed, but since no one has mentioned it here yet, I thought I'd say that the Train track is in 5/4 to build the extra tension. I'm really happy that it works and doesn't stand out as too weird. Thank you for listening!
I didn't notice that actually. Maybe that's why the track worked so well.
Loving all these little vocal clips, reminds me a bit of Jet Grind Radio. :)
Really interesting overall sonic picture. The combination of samples and effected synths used kept me intrigued through the duration of the tracks. With this in the background I’d definitely be down to play in a cyberpunk world and shoot other people with cyberpunk gadgets!
I like the effects on these train tracks!
Really cool atmosphere that you've created with the sound effects and synths. Good job!
Using these sound effects is a very creative idea, I like it a lot! Choo choo! 🚂
Neat old school vibe! Both songs are reminiscent of a train rolling. Nice job!
I like trains. And cyber trains sounds fantastic too! I like the contrast between "rails" and "trains" tracks! (heh... trains on tracks... hehe (bad pun intented ~_^). Good job!
Loving the leitmotif! I feel the yell sfx works really well, and the reverse kick helps add some more darkness to the second track. Cool ideas!
Fellow train enjoyer. good work!
Cool game idea - seems intense and a little bit stressful, which I think you captured well in the soundtrack. I enjoyed the various synth melodies. The grunts are pretty funny and I'm not sure if they're meant to be sound effects in the game or part of the song. All around a fun entry :)
Haha, yeah, it felt empty, at a couple moments and so I thought adding grunts and yeahs would fill up the space, especially because I felt it would fit the cyberpunky vibe of having guys yelling. Sort of a last minute edit. I agree its kind of goofy, but I think it works. Thanks for the feedback!
