Description
In The Last City, all that remains of humanity is clumped together in a massive city. Separated in many districts, each district is its own country. Some ruled by corporations, others by dictators, and don't forget about the lawless slums scattered everywhere. You've finally arrived at the city, and you have to make your way through the madness in order to survive and reach the better parts. How hard could it be? Just a few jobs here and there, right?

"Welcome to the Last City" is the main menu track, featuring a rich soundscape with a few rough edges. Opportunity awaits, but be careful.

"Shotgun Rampage" is a track with a short stealthy introduction, but obviously shit hits the fan so let's just kill everyone in the building and fight a boss or two.

Tracks made with Cubase 10. I mostly used Serum, occasionally Padshop. Beats are played with Groove Agent SE 5

Message from the artist:
Welcome to the Last City is the main track. Shotgun Rampage is an absolute banger of a track, but not for everyone so don't judge me lol

How does it fit the theme?
Dark mood and vibrant synths for the main track, absolute chaos for the second

Some really cool sounds in both that are unquestionably cyberpunk. I love the memorable melody in the first track, it's repetitive but not in a bad way, just enough for the song to change around it and keep it interesting. Shotgun Rampage is very dark and I love the percussion that comes in at around 0:52 seconds. Really cool stuff!

Bloody great! Hard to fault.

These are some down-to-earth, no-bullshit cyberpunk themes, love it :) It's also well-produced.

The main melody from the first track could be the main theme for the whole soundtrack. It's short, memorable, and could probably fit in many other contexts.

I liked the "Shotgun Rampage", but I must say I don't read the intro as a stealth section. I rather read it as a stand-off, the eye meets an eye, moments before all hell breaks loose. Maybe just muting this noisy bass would give it a stealthy vibe? I don't know, I liked it anyway :)

Great sound choices in both tracks, killer vibes all around.

Ooh this is a great atmosphere you've got going. I'm feeling the gritty city vibes. And I love filter automation you have going on the arpeggiated synth that comes in at the 44 second mark. And then 21 seconds into Shotgun Rampage sounds like you just got caught on camera and its time to go ham! Love the energy from that aggressive synth. Loved both tracks!

Really love the soundscape you’ve created here! Great mix of sweet, melodic, and noisy instruments. The main track definitely feels like a vast, strange city is stretched out before me, ominous and inviting.

Shotgun rampage definitely delivers on chaos! I dig the energy, but the mix could have used a bit of EQ to reduce some of the high-end buzz that builds up from having so many aggressive synths running at once!

Really cool ideas, and good execution. :)

Welcome to the Last City - What an awesome ambience. Stellar job painting a dark and menacing picture! Nice melodic parts in there, too, as if the City has a hidden beauty if you look closely.

Shotgun Rampage - This is just pure rage! Combine a shotgun with some kind of experimental stim pack drug from a dark street corner and this is what you get.

Probably the cyberpunkiest submission I heard all week. Well done!

Now this is what I expect from 'Cyberpunk'! Shotgun Rampage truly is a rampage!

Welcome to the Last City - Oh yeah. This is it. This is exactly what I'd expect when I hear the word cyberpunk. Love the melody. Love the synths. Great work.

Shotgun Rampage - Really cool opening. Love that breathy synth you open up with (which thankfully goes on through the track!). And then those smashed drums. Cool! I can totally picture some crazy roid-raging insane guy chasing you down the streets with this playing. Ooh the amens are speeding up! Nice! Also like the little wink to the opening theme at the end :D

My favourite is probably the opening theme, but I really do love that breathy synth you've got going in the second one.

Awesome work!

At this point I'm just pleasantly surprised that there are people other than myself that like the second track :D

Holly waw this is energetic! Pretty interesting tracks, I really like the build up in "Welcome to the last city".

Welcome to the last city builds up nicely with the stingers and i like how it gets progressively more intense, with nex textures coming in, nicely layered. The low tempo is perfect for a menu background as it doesn’t distract with the intensity too much!

I love the crushed synths in Shotgun rampage and the introductory lead and then the amen breaks hit, holy shit, awesome! :D

This is as cyberpunk as it gets! And then the crunchy noise and breakbeat in the second track is one crazy vibe. Great work!

loved the bass riff on shotgun rampage

I like the intro on Shotgun Rampage, it makes the intense part hit even harder!
