Description
Genre:
i don't quite know what to call this genre but it's the same used in cyberpunk 2077
i've heard it being described as "mid-tempo" but idk it could be it's own genre ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The game:
for the game concept i imagine something similar to katana zero, where the soundtrack is mostly a bunch of songs in the same style
The process:
i had to rush quite a bit to make up for the short amount of time but i had a lot of fun and learned lots (specially about bass sound design)
both tracks were made in FL studio 20
enjoy :)
Message from the artist:
AI generated cover for that extra dystopian vibe
How does it fit the theme?
both tracks were made around the general aesthetic of the cyberpunk movement

This definitely sounds like cyberpunk! The gritty sidechained bass pattern is the most characteristic element of it imo. Love the more melodic section that comes in halfway in the first track. Great production quality, amazing work!
Great dubstep cyberpunk vibe. Love it!
Great dubstep cyberpunk vibe. Love it!
This is most definitely cyberpunk! I love the light sound leads that come in at 1:10 in the first track. I also love how ambient both songs are, they work both as standalone tracks and as backing for a scene in a game. Great stuff!
Really excelling mixing and instrument choices! I think you nailed the Cyberpunk style you were going for. :)
Great composition and sound choice! It's a bummer that you didn't have time to get a better mix, the kick in Resonance especially feels a bit weak compared to the dynamic of the track. Really great sound design overall nice entry!
mixing is something i'm actively trying to improve with time so thanks for letting me know about the kick 👌
Sounds great! And very cool cover art, it's very impressive what an IA can do
Now I'm thinking of the fact that it would have been 100% in the theme to let an IA create everything, including music
i definitely thought about doing music with the AI too but i'll save it for the future lol
Oh hey I remember your Lancer (2058) remix! My 2-yr-old loves that btw. She made me play it over and over again the other day.
Really professional sound design here. Great work. I could see this in a game as-is, tbh.
sounds like your 2-yr old has a severe case of good taste chief 👀
Oh the punk do be cyber!
I really like the cinematic feel and the glitches, and the mix is stellar!
thanks man i really put my everything into it :)
The production on this is insane, really good work here!
production my beloved
This is amazing! Because of this jam, I'm really digging the Cyberpunk 2077-like music genre.
I really like Resonance!
you and me both mate, the cyberpunkish music is everything i could ever wish for
thanks for liking it :D
I love that section in Resonance with those soft pads, really sounds like resonance. The Edge has very nice ambiance, too. You create a clear cyberpunk atmosphere with both tracks using the typical strongarm beats, while still creating something eerily beautiful to listen to. Great work!
thank you very much!
I like the glitchy (almost squelchy?) sounding breaks in the first track; it really sets the futuristic, but also dark and mysterious vibe. Good stuff!
idk what squelchy means but it does feel like an appropriate word for it
This is a banger ost. Really like the build up and drop of the first track. Very action packed and indeed I think you captured the style the Cybperunk 2077 goes for. Mixing is very good, all the layers blend together nicely. I really love the punchy snares and how it stands out, but doesn't feel annoying or is stealing presence to the other synths and arpeggies, very well balanced. You have a lot of little sound detail in the layering btw, that's super nice.
Solid entry and one of my favourites, be proud of yourself for making this great soundtrack!
guess i'll be proud of myself ;)
ay love the bass sound design on tis
dubstep my beloved
Solid entry man!
Resonance: That main synth you've got going on here really reminds me of CD Projekt's interpretation of Cyberpunk. But then you pull ahead of that with those gorgeous synth chords you roll into. This bit makes me think that we're driving a car through this great city filled to the brim with nightlife. Great stuff. Not only is the base really solid, you've littered this thing with interesting sound effects to listen to. Amazing.
The Edge: Nice. I love how the highpassed pads make this feel quite awe inspiring. I imagine looking at something impressive during the opening of this track. Awesome toms and that taktaktak sound that follows them. Really nice. Impressive work.
What can I say. This was just excellent. These are going on the rotation :)
thanks i really tried to capture how it goes in 2077's ost
glad it sounds even remotely like it tbh
