Description
The soundtrack is a classical/orchestral theme, set to represent the final boss or an important figure of a action/combat/adventure/medieval game.
I composed it with my MIDI keyboard, in FLstudio, using VSTs orchestra such as BBC Symphony Orchestra Core and a few other things.
Message from the artist
It was a great experience! I'm sad I had to quick the process due to private things, but I'll surely do it again. It is a good way to discover, share, and push myself to actually finish a project that I love.
I'll probably use this track in my personal video game project, if it ever come to life.
Theme
How does it fit the theme?
I'm getting into the theme because I composed this music around a feeling of weight, a dark, solemn atmosphere, with an imposing, powerful, almost deified monster in mind. The sounds, chords and harmonies, as well as some of the dissonant compositional choices used, are there to underline the fact that nothing is going right any more, and that if there is to be a fight, it's likely... There will be consequences.

UGH listening to the other piano tracks on here inspires me so much!! this track makes me wish i had been more daring to use dissonance in my own submission, cause i think it's such an interesting thing that can add so much depth to a piece :') it adds such a dramatic tension and really makes it feel like a grand epic. really loved this one, well done <3
Jesus christ this one really hit - I can tell you're a talented pianist just from the way this is laid out. There's something almost rachmaninoff-esque about the way the piano is delivered and orchestrated here. Fantastic usage of dark brooding chords. And then the horns in the middle - there's really a vision here.
I'm really glad to hear that! I wasn't sure how it would turn out at first but this- and others answers help me defining my art direction for upcoming projects. I'll definitely clean this track up when time is given to me again!
Great composition! I liked the way you used and balanced out dissonant sounds while using them to build up a story! Well done :)
Thanks! "Story" is all I had in mind when composing it
Sounds great! Beautiful piano part, I really enjoyed it.
Thanks! I did my best to make as good recording as I could.
This song is so, so crunchy, and I mean that in the best way. The harmony and melody just refusing to mesh in that second half, even pretending like they're about to and then changing into even more dissonant tones... Very well done
Thanks a lot!
One of the more dramatic tracks I've heard so far. I love the tension you built here! Really gives that final boss feel. One of my favorites composition wise so far!
Thanks! I'm happy it plays like a final Boss theme for you!
I love classical, orchestral, and piano music! You used a lot of interesting harmonies and there is the usage of dramatic chords that reminds me of Beethoven. But mixed with a lot of other influences. Maybe Japanese styled music as well? Would love to hear more about your inspirations!
Well, on the inspiration side, it's mostly coming from my imagination at the moment, wich, if I know myself right, is taking bites from Rachmaninnoff, Ghibli, Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Monster Hunter: World, a lot of Dark Souls and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice for the dramatic and bossfight-type of vibe, and... Surely some of the Genshin Impact soundtrack. And, I hope, a bit of my own! (I got carried away with this answer)
Ha! I knew I heard Rachmaninoff influence. I thought some of it also sounded kind of Gershwin-esque as well, which would also fit. Since Genshin Impact was an influence, you could have this "Gershwin Impact."
Overall I thought it was very good and shows a lot of ability to use dissonance in a complex way.
One thing I might add as a constructive feedback is that there's kind of a vertical similarity throughout the piece, in that it feels kind of busy throughout the whole thing, without being punctuated by variations in overall amount of sounds happening at once.
Overall, very good work!
Thanks for the feedback! Rachmaninoff is amazing.
Wow, you had me hooked from the beginning! Super cool!
Thank you for listening! "hooked" is a win for me, then!
Very expressive piano! I l quite enjoyed it!
Well thanks! I had to practice a lot before getting the right "dramatic" tone I wanted with my playing.
