Message from the artist
The Magic Mirror, accessible in your dreams, will take you to the Mirror Realm where you are a reflection of yourself. Time will flow forward at the same rate as it flows backwards and your actions will follow your thoughts as much as they precede them. Every action in the Mirror Realm will have an equal and opposite reaction. You wonder who is the person staring at you in the mirror as you get lost in its endless depths...

This soundtrack is a palindrome. Play it backwards if you like, it matters not.

Difficulty

C (Super Challenge)

The music box is such a strong choice, from the first notes I felt immersed in the world! Agreed with other folks that the simplicity leaves you a little wanting for more, but at the same time, it keeps the tone consistent which is a plus. I'm not sure this truly fits challenge C since the attack of each note would sound pretty different reversed, but from a note perspective it definitely works. Nice job!

I really like the idea of the music box; it’s an unusual choice as the main element of a soundtrack, but it has a very creepy sound, and I think it’s perfect for a video game. The only note I’d give is that I might have introduced other instruments as layers to build on it, but the starting point of the piece is truly excellent.

I can just imagine a spinning music box with the little metal teeth hitting the metal spikes as it plays this melody!

I do with it had more syncopation to change things up occasionally but right now it has a nice lullaby feeling to it.

good job!

Yeah that's the thing with syncopation. They work great one way around, but can sound funny when reversed. I am motivated to find a way to do this tho, thanks!

This track feels sweet and mysterious to me. While the tuned percussion melodies are good, I also like your use of silence too! This was a nice listen!

This would be perfect for a short puzzle game that gets more mind-bending as you progress with the music getting increasingly distorted/intense.

This is actually great, really wish it had a little bit more going on but I think for what it has it's a really good submission and great track.

A little on the low end volume wise though, but I think that works in favor of the instrument choice.

Nice work.
