Description
The genre of the song is electronic, as I incorporated the instruments used in the Gameboy and Gameboy Color.

The designated game genre I made the song for is an RPG, where story is more important than music and graphics. This track is representative of a journey in a peaceful environment, where the player is typically exploring, and no enemies are able to attack.

How does it fit the theme?

Love this chiptuney vibe!

I’m not sure I get “peaceful” from this – the repeated melody line definitely feels tense and foreboding to me.

I think if you’d paired it with some more cheerful chords, it might have helped sell the mood a little better.

i can't believe i listened to this for three minutes.

Oh dear... yes, I remember times when games have four notes repeated again and again... ^_^
I appreciate it like a joke, and just wanna say hello to Milky Tracker user (I used Milky Tracker few years ago, now I switched to OpenMPT ~_^)

I thought the loop was great and would've loved to hear it develop more! I really enjoyed the rhythm section especially and thought it was a creative rhythmic hook. This track had some potential to do really great things! Gutted that it wasn't expanded upon :(

I liked how you had a platform-sort of theme driving your creation. And of course it was my favorite platform you had to choose :D Very simple, which is a good thing for a game soundtrack in a lot of cases. It seemed a bit tense for a "peaceful" environmental exploration though. Might have been the tempo...

The loop is nicely crafted but it would have cool to hear other levels as well. Maybe you were short on time ? I don’t even think this loop is too short, it would perfectly fit a deliberately minimalist art direction. It just need to change upon exploration or with game play phases. By the way, I’m curious about the “no enemies are able to attack” part. Random encounters with a battle theme would have been a good counterpart to this slow paced exploration loop.

I really liked the sound selection but, come on dude, the same 4 bars 8 seconds through 3 minutes is just lazy in my opinion

I got what the track's purpose was and it fits your description. But the same loop repeating throughout the entire track is probably going to get the player bored and/or annoyed.

Ok. We can say that it is a more than daring bet to offer this music. The sounds are good, the beginning and the end are very successful, it's just a shame that they are identical, and also identical in the middle of the work. 8 seconds in a loop for 3 minutes? ... Sure somebody had to dare ... lol !  The main interest is that this music will have allowed me (as well as the other participants of this Jam) to discover a new musical toy, the "Milky Tracker" software on which this music was made. And for that, to be fair, just for that it was worth blow to propose this music. Still, musically, it's particularly difficult to vote. I imagine that by offering this music, you were prepared to elicit such a reaction ^^
