Explain your hypothetical game concept & how you interpreted the theme!
Dreamer's Journey is a 2 track mini OST composed for the OST Minigame Jam #1. It's based in the idea of a game about dream adventures. The first track could be a menu title / ambience track, and maybe the secund track could be an ambience / boss fight track.

What genre is your soundtrack?
I would say maybe ambient, vgm or soundtrack.
Anything else you'd like to add?
I used the whole tone scale in both tracks over augmented chords almost as a color to sprinkle on top, or at least that was the idea. Also the idea of the hero being someone dreaming adventures.

This reminds me of yume nikki and I love stuff like that. gj :D
Great choice to use dreams as a setting - whole tone has often been used to simulate a weightless feeling, and you captured that really well, especially in Dream Walking.
The two pieces didn't feel all that connected to me, like quite different games; they might have made sense in a larger OST, but as two tracks they felt a little disparate.
Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed both pieces, just talking about the overall theme/intention of the 2 tracks :)
this is great!
Dreamwalking has some nice chord progressions between the chorus and bass and the mallet melody is lovely. Really cool percussion rhythm in Dreamer's Battle and a cool call and response motiff. Very cool entry.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I love that the main instruments in these two tracks are bells) The small strings complement the slight mysteriousness of the theme perfectly! (And it also feels a bit Asian, heh).
I like it!
I liked how dreamy the first track was, and the bells were a nice touch!
Second track had a more spooky sound to it which I liked, I'm guessing you went for the whole tone scale challenge with this one?
Good job on both songs. I would be interested in how they would turn out if extended!
If I could suggest one thing it would be give the bells in the first track some reverb!
Hey getting a 404 on your playlist link, for some reason itch is truncating the link. This worked for me.
Love the dreamy vibes here. The whole tone scale brings an unsettled feeling which juxtaposes really interestingly with the soft, almost tropical feeling of the piece. Fun concept!
Wow! thank you so much!! I didn't noticed that the link was incomplete hahah so I fixed it. Thank you for you feedback and awesome words I'm really glad you liked it :D!!
