I LOVE THIS. This has so much potential! Please add to this, it is the best implementation of the theme I've played, great work!

Developer

We really wanted to try and find a unique way to interpret the theme, so we really appreciate hearing that!

We've definitely got a list of things that got cut for time, so it's likely we'll add them at some point!

It's gross. And that's cool!

Sometimes, you just wanna make a mess.

This game is one of the best usages of the theme I've seen. Good controls and really fun presentation. Only issue I had was I couldn't figure out what the squelch was about. My ick just did a little movement and nothing else. Not sure why I would want to do that gameplay wise. Also I think I found a bug where I got under someone's foot my first round, and then on the second round their feet were still dirty.

Even still I thought getting people's feet dirty and having them spread it for you was a cool mechanic. Would love to see more from this.

We did find that occasionally that the "E" squelch feature had trouble "find a landing spot" in certain places. It's suppose to "ascend" you to the above "floor" TOTK-style. The reset feet bug is a known issue we didn't have time to fix but defs planning on it post-jam. Thanks for your kind review. :)

Found some gamer strats, I icked the people's feet to help spread faster lmao!
Would have been awesome to see my score / icked % live update in-game, otherwise very fun!

Developer(+1)

Yup, that's a great strat for sure. XD
As Shane said in another comment, -- the last minute technical issues made it difficult to show the score real-time, and so opted to just push it to the end screen.  But, defs looking to get that going post-game. Thanks for your kind review! :)

Fun game, very moist, ick-y sound for the character moving ahah I found the controls a bit wobbly but it ends up making the game more challenging :)

Developer(+2)

Thanks for your review!  Shane put in the squishy sounds for our game and I agree it's the mostest moistest! XD

This is a really good take on the theme. Very fun idea, delightfully gross presentation down to the itch.io page. Very cool!

The main movement mechanics work pretty well, and I found things generally intuitive. For the future, it'd be nice to have more clear motivations--more score visualizations or more of a premise with goals.

Nice job--the visual execution was top notch!

Developer

I absolutely agree with you, unfortunately we had some last minute technical issues that made it difficult to show the score real-time, and so opted to just push it to the end screen.

We'd also thought to have missions/challenges (ick all chairs/ ick as much floor without icking an npc, etc), which would also have given more clear goals, but again, ran out of time.

Thank you so much for your review!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your kind review! Yes as Shane said, tech issues with the real-time score, and definitely had a lot of "beyond/nice to haves" that we didn't get time to implement, to give more motivation. One of those being a cleaner "antagonist" that you would be trying to win against while he tries to clean your ick up.
