- GDD Very well-made GDD. Everything is clear and well-detailed. I would like to see a timeline of development at the end. It helps us get into the minds of the devs. Gameplay Great gameplay loop, super tight and smooth controls. I loved the variety of functions from each form and how fast you change. The menu was great, with a fully customizable key mapping. There's no advantage in going super fast, but the gameplay experience makes me feel like going as fast as I can, switching forms on the fly. Art Wonderful art; the elemental is full of personality. The attacks are well animated and detailed. The form changing is seamless. Great color palette. Sound design The BGM is a blast. Another reason that I wanted to go faster. Got me jamming. The SFX is good, but I could really appreciate it after reducing the music volume a bit. Last thoughts Damn good music. The game feels super polished. I didn't encounter any bugs or glitches. I am not a big fan of platformers, but I played 3 extra runs just to try going a little bit faster, even if the score is based on kills. The controls were that good. Just couldn't help myself. Great job.

I like the logo a lot! The art is nice and clear, and the music absolutely rocks! The controls are tight, and I like the concept a lot! In particular, I like the concept of changing into different elements to get past specific obstacles.
About the element changing, I think being able to change it using the mouse wheel would've been interesting too, considering that you can attack using LMB.
I did notice that the Fire wall in the 2nd stage can be passed through with either the Fire or Water elements. Since I'm not sure if it's intentional, I'm pointing it out here just in case.
Enemies being able to damage eachother as well as dying from falling in the abyss were very good touches, and I also like the parallax effect a lot. Would've been interesting to see what you would've come up with if you'd gotten a bit more time to explore the gameplay concepts. This was a very enjoyable experience with awesome music!
Cool idea! I think this concept could be expanded on be pretty interesting. I think the controls might have to be a little different though, hitting the number keys while moving fast and trying to do platforming feels pretty awkward. Maybe transforming between types could be done on the right side of the keyboard so you don't need to take you fingers off movement keys.
Nice job!
Really fun concept! Loved all the shapeshifting elements. Loved being able to just mow through the enemies with fire mode! Music is such a bop! I liked that depending on your enemies and environment you needed to use different forms which makes sense. Art looks good, I liked the eye glow and background. I liked the variety of enemies. You could just treat this game as a platformer and storm through them if you want in water mode which I found quite funny.
I think you could do more with each element. Perhaps a secondary attack. Your UI was simple and easily told the player. I also encountered a bug where it spawned me in the middle of the level on the final segment, but only triggered that once.
Great job! Gotta new follower on your soundcloud!
I really like the idea of transforming the character to adapt to different situations using various elements. However I did notice that the fire and water transformations are only used once, while most of the game is completed with the tree form. It seems like a lot of time and effort went into building the form-switching system, which might have left limited time for level design.
I also wanted to mention a couple of other things I noticed: in the water form, you can pass through fire (I wasn’t sure if that was intentional). Also, some enemies die on their own by walking forward and falling down - I never managed to reach the axe-wielding enemy :D
I also want to mention that the game sounds nice, and the element animations are really well done. I’m looking forward to seeing how the game develops with more levels and creative uses of the elemental mechanics!
I thought the art style was really cool, and then when the head throwing happened 🤣 I laughed. I was not expecting that at all!! When I got to the end, I was panicking so I ran to side quickly and the game finished - I played again because I wanted to see what the enemy mechanics were. But this time I saw the enemy archer kill the other archer 🤣🤣 so I played yet again to confirm it. I didn't expect friendly fire in this game. I also wanted to see what the axe dude at the last section was doing, but just standing next to me - he was attacking downwards but not hitting me (just thought I'd mention that). And for the artist, if you like elemental pixel art, Wizard of Legend (video game) has a lot of cool elements in pixel art which could inspire you. I could see that style be put into a game like this. Awesome submission! I had fun with this one
Thanks for checking it out!
About Axe dude - yeah, 4 some reason, at the current build he be striking down when player is only on the right side from them (left side works fine),
which is utterly bizarre, cuz they use same code as sword dudes - and they be fine.
Thanks for reporting.
Very cool little platformer, so short tho! Excellent music from this creator, as always. Beautiful art. Gameplay concepts seem great, just wanted to play more and see where the ideas could have gone with more level design! A lot of really great QOL features, esp for a jam; loved having WASD-esque controls, and mapping "retry" to an action button is a huge win for a platformer like this. Very clean and enjoyable submission.
I love the artstyle and the shapeshifting its really fun to beat them different ways and I love the music its really fitting!
Nice wee game, I love as earth element you are throwing your head.
Short lil' platformer.
Love the artstyle and the music, controls were hard to use though!
Tried going for a pacifist run but the lowest possible score seems to be 400.
Also water noodle op.
Thanks for playing!
Yeah, it turned out really short cuz, I've overscoped with subsystems (like, player was supposed to also mix elements, like fire for head and water for body which would give ghost form ability) - so did not leave myself time to make enough levels.
About controls (which are rebindable btw) would you mind elaborating a lil more?
Like, a is default scheme hard to use or its movement that gives you trouble?
I ended up just listening to the music for ages after dying. Loved it.
Thanks you!
