- Great game! I used to play 'Kitty Cannon' on Addicting games years ago, and this game gave me all the same nostalgic feels as that game. Really well done. I like the opener to the story, giving you a reason to throw the sword. Classic opening to a repeatable flash style game. The creativity of 'you are the weapon' was very good. We had minimal (became more than minimal after upgrades) control over the weapon's direction, cementing the idea that we really are the sword, and not just the thrower watching it happen. Great modification. I thought the art style was great. The VFX of flying through the air and getting boosted by gryphons and phoenix allies was super! The color difference in the trail when that happened was a nice touch. If you continue modifying and enhancing this game, I would love to see additional things we can do as the player to enhance the sword. These could be introduced on subsequent levels where things get harder, the demon king is further away... etc. Your GDD had everything in it that I would expect from a game like this. Honestly this was a superb offering for this GameJam. You should be proud.

Very fun game! I can see myself spending a long time upgrading, trying different bounce angles, etc. Sfx are great and art is fun. It's pretty much straightforward and I can see people trying to min max and compete for high scores. Pretty close to feeling complete. Great entry!
This was very nice! It really makes me feel a great sense of nostalgia of that good old flash game era games! The gameplay is smooth, the upgrade is very balanced too! (it's rare to see such balancing in a jam) There are also different type of enemies when going further and further, the phoenixes and griffins are also a extremely nice touch too! Very well done!
I will add a bit feedback that it would be nice if the background changes later in the level, making the stage more interesting that what it currently is. Also some upbeat music please, that would be great too! There is a bug where the upgrade buttons are still active even though it's already upgraded to the highest level. (luckily pressing that don't consume gold) The upgrade scene can also benefit from adding icons instead of just words, but currently it's already quite decent.
Anyway, you done a great job on this game and you should be proud of yourself. Well done!
What a fun play! Sunk way longer than I intended into this - each upgrade felt impactful and helpful in it's own way, but they're not so crazy overpowered that the player can switch off. Great art as well, awesome job!
Great game! Very addicting and charming. Kept trying to get a little bit further each time until I figured out the system and then just got insane distances. Killed the Demon King!
I finally managed to kill the demon king!
Thanks a lot! :)
Yes I'm already working on my music skills but right now it would make the game experience worse :D
Very satisfying game! The sword spinning makes it very energetic. I would love to see multiple playstyles available through the upgrade system or enemy interactions.
I do really like the idea of combining the throw system with the upgrade system. I think the only thing missing is some UI indicators on throw strength and direction and some clarity in the controls. It seems like you have to click and drag on the first throw but then to sword dash you only have to click. Took me a while to figure that out. Really nice job tho, i can see this one as a small steam game with some improvements.
