  • I can see this game getting very infuriating and that's just fine, the game is good! The movement is very simple which is nice for a lot of people to try and jump into this game. I liked the art style, simple but looks nice and looks like a lot of work was put into it. The movement was a bit of a problem, I couldn't tell how to really lift or move the person without just swinging the sword very fast in one direction or the other. The addition of enemies was a nice touch, it adds a new mechanic to these type of games it was a nice change.

Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
Yes

Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes

Summarise your game!
In Dragged Out of It, you play as an evil sword who possesses its wielder. The premise is that the sword, which had laid dormant for years hidden away in a dungeon, requires a human host to move around, taking all his agency away and turning him into a ragdoll so the sword can move and act. The body is basically a dead weight, so the movement feels weighted, both adding difficulty and giving the player a nice sense of momentum.

Please play on fullscreen.
The greater the range of your mouse movement, the further the character will go. Also, you can use the sword to destroy fireballs.

Please explain how your game fits the theme:
You play as a sword dragging a dead weight around. Use your pointiness to get rid of enemies and your human companion to build momentum!

Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
This is our first jam and we hope you have as much fun playing as we did making this game.

Very reminiscence of Getting Over It. The controls was intuitive to learn. Well done!

Nothing better than a nice fireball, after getting to that platform I’ve been struggling to get to for the last 20 minutes 😊
