  • This was a very enjoyable experience! I loved the building system and being able to have multiple turrets ripping everything apart. The art and design of everything was very well done. I know balancing games like this always seems like an ongoing task. The only part that I really struggled with was the lack of DNA. It definitely depleted a little quickly and I hardly ever had enough to do more builds. Overall, this was a very fun play through for me. It's definitely something I would check out again in the future. I hope you enjoyed making it and had fun during the jam. Hope to see you around in future jams.

Congrats on finishing the jam! I managed to get to wave 6 or so. 

Really addictive game - I had a lot of fun with it! The music was nice and the SFX added to the frenzy of being shot at. Art was clear and easy to understand. The music slowing down during upgrade period and speeding up again during play was a nice touch.

Some areas of improvement:

  • I didn't really understand what each upgrade would do for me - would be nice if when you hovered there was a description
  • The starting screen explained the metal resource ticking down during gameplay but I didn't understand why the DNA would tick down
  • I could not do a single upgrade after the first wave - would be nice if it was guaranteed. It feels like a wasted upgrade period.
  • Getting DNA was very difficult because it seemed to always disappear for no reason. The best strategy I found for this was to leave all the bodies on the floor and sweep them up just before the wave ended
  • It was hard to tell but I don't think the Red/Blue soldiers give more DNA when killed - given the amount of damage they do it would be nice
  • I wish I could run over enemies
  • Enemies would spawn and start shooting off screen or spawn behind you, would be nice if it was always at the edge of the screen and you had a second or so to see them before they start shooting. If this change is made they should probably be invincible until they shoot.

Drones are cool. Great job!

This game is awesome! Holy shit. Had a fun time. I got to wave 7 before things got absolutely nuts. Think I screwed up and got too many turrets without enought bullet reserves. Super smooth and fun. The only bug I encountered was related to UI scaling when not in fullscreen, but once fullscreen'd it was fine. Great job on the different AI for each enemy. Music and SFX are great! So many flash-like bangers this jam.

this game is really cool! i like the idea a lot, and the core loop is fun. the only thing is i feel like DNA drained weirdly fast when making bullets and it was hard to purchase as many upgrades. i had fun getting tons of guns and ammo and i think this is a really cool idea that has a lot of versatility:) it would be really cool to see add-ons to ur structure that play more into the fact that you can place them anywhere, like maybe something that buffs blocks around it or a melee block :P good job getting ur game out there ! :D

This is great polished work!
The particle effects look good the feedback is amazing.

It is rather fun to play

There are lot of upgrade builds possible (Thanks for n and m cheats)

This game would benefit a lot from a tutorial walkthrough or one by one introduction.

Ithink clearing dead bodies after some time would be helpful since it gets crowded fast, though there is enough visual difference for it to not be a big issue

This is a great game. It feels like you put a lot of effort into making sure each piece was unique and had some sort of a purpose. The difficulty may grow too quickly, or I have a skill issue idk. Good work!

Absolutely loved this one! Simple but really fun gameplay loop. Will definitely be coming back to this a few more times!
