Judge feedback is anonymous and shown in a random order.

  • Stand out entry! Cute game and recovering your body sounds like a unique premise! Tweet is well crafted and includes your link. Solid Press Kit which covers key information and includes great visuals and other media. Suggestions: -- Keep refining the tweet and the Press Kit -- getting lots of feedback from everyone around you -- until it's a finely honed weapon of mass downloadination.. ;-) -- There isn't much about the gameplay itself. We've suggested a tweet edit (via Realms Games) that includes a couple of key gameplay features. -- Publication Date is a very tricky one. From the perspective of a gamer, I'd like to get at least an idea of when it might be coming out, even just the estimated year. As an aspiring Dev, I feel like setting a target could also be good for motivation. (Might go the other way round too though.)
  • Clear and concise pitch, the video in the tweet immediately shows what the game is about. The concept doesn't sound very unique, but the part of "recovering your body" does seem somewhat interesting.
  • Feedback submitted as Indie Legion.
  • Nice start of a trailer, try and make it a bit longer!
  • Great video on tweet Solid Press kit Would like to know a bit more about the gameplay
  • I fault myself because I still haven't played the demo heeheh. But I gotta to tell ya I liked what I saw. You came prepared- and I think it should have been called "everybody's quest" because it's such a refreshing idea. It was one of the few trailers/clips where I just had to rewatch it several times due to how unique it seemed. For that- thank you! That said, it was a little too short to fully appreciate the game :3

I really liked the press kit. I'd look to add some of this information into the tweet itself. If there is combat could we see how that works in the video? There is also mention of crafting with no look at this either. If they are key to your gameplay I'd look to add those in.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! There is a bit of turn-based combat indeed, but it’s kinda light... and a bit spoilery. As for crafting, you collect the materials and the citizens you  rescue do it for you, each has a specialty. Too long to describe in a shot tweet but will look into adding all that to a future trailer.

cool video on your tweet

Thanks very much! ^^

Looks interesting! The tweet is well written, I just would replace/remove the final bit about Loathe with something else, as a reader I have no context of who that is.

The press kit looks good too! It's well laid out. I think the 15s trailer you've used in your tweet moves too fast, and it's hard to gauge what you do in the game. The longer one in your press kit flows better :)

Developer

Thank you very much for the feedback! :) Yup, someone else also suggested changing the LOATHE bit, will do that in my PitchYaGame tweet. As for the teaser, I did this short one especially for the Pitch tweet to give a visual idea of the game. I think as Pitch tweets need to be concise and straight to the point, maybe it's better to have a short video showing what the game looks like at a glance, rather than a lengthy trailer? Dunno for sure though... Then the full trailer is on the Itch and Steam pages as well as the press kit, in case people want to know more about the game.

I think perhaps take one or two of the shots out then and extend the ones you have in the 15s one? So that the shots that are there can sink in :)

Really liked the whole package - art, game idea, press kit, and tweet!

A small suggestion: in your first screenshot, it's pretty difficult to read the text. You might want to decrease the transparency on the background to make it easier to read.

Developer

Thanks a lot for the feedback and your suggestion! :) Will try to decrease in-game and see how it looks ^^

Thanks for the great feedback! :D I like your suggestions, will keep honing it. As for the release date, yeah, as you say it's tricky... I work at my own pace (like in my game) and I'm afraid setting a release date might put more pressure on myself, don't wanna rush it ^^; So I'll wait for the game to be a bit more advanced before doing so I guess.

Thanks a lot for the suggestion! I was thinking of putting "You start with nothing, not even your body!" at the very beginning, as a catchphrase.

+ Charming
+ Nobody? You have got to be kidding
+ Succinct clip as part of pitch. Really gets the audience.

- Perhaps OVERLY so ^__^

Hey thanks so much for the nice comment! ^^

Oh cute idea! The gameplay is clear in the video and the pitch is nicely done!

Maybe better to say download demo than demo available to push people to download.  Overall your itch page and art style is really good =) good luck

maybe point out the ghost aspect earlier and make it sound more mysterious. And who is Loathe?

Developer

Hi there, thanks for the feedback! The fact that we don't know who Nobody is/was is actually on purpose, this will be touched upon in the story but I don't want to spoil it. Moreover, I don't want it to be gendered, as Nobody can be anyone. LOATHE stands for the Lord Of All That Horrible Evil. It is explained in the game's description and early in-game, but it is quite long to mention in a tweet.

Jam JudgeSubmitted(+1)

I meant to maybe make it the main pull that you're a ghost searching his body, since that makes the game unique. I wouldn't mention Loathe at all, or just call him "an evil force" or something for clarity
