im so bad at this game so i couldnt beat the first stage, but i love the concept along with the aesthetic.
For the record I beat the whole thing, at it's core this game is very fun! I do have some feedback:
Time limit is way too brutal. I read you wanted the game to be hard, which is fair, but it could be achieved some other way than kicking the player back to the beginning if their first launch isn't pixel-perfect. Maybe extending the time limit to a minute, and opting to giving a score to the player depending on how much time they had left or how many launches they used (like golf i guess).
Also the launch mechanic could use some more feedback. It took me a while to understand I had to move the cursor out of the game window itself to actually give enough power to the launch to really get anywhere. For example arrow becoming longer to show the variance in force.
Still, for our time limit you did very well with this! I get that in a week you don't really get much time to iron out everything - neither did I. I would love to see this developed further! Good job!
Thanks a lot for the feedback human! I totally agree I guess it got too easy for me since I was testing it over and over, I’ll get others to play before submitting next time. Same with the launch mechanic and stuff, I’m looking to expand it further I think and maybe redo the golf system entirely since it’s pretty barebones. Thanks again for playing!
Wow, this is brutal (in more than one way…). I gave up on level 1, I reached the sink, but what then?
Concept is fun, but I think the time out mechanic and especially the camera get in the way a bit.
This is such a cool idea, I love the atmosphere of the game and the absolutely crazy scenarios you are put in. The game is a bit hard to control and the timer is really strict, which made it a bit hard to explore levels and progress through the game.
I really like that level 2 is Bedroom in Arles. Is there a trick I'm missing about throwing the fish upward while in midair? I got stuck on the stair level trying to throw myself upwards.
I love the Aesthetic, vibe, and sound of the game. It is hard to play until you see the explanation under Nikole's comment. It is one of those things that once you figure it out, you get it. Overall, I like it
Being a fish is fun :ъ But for some reason, I couldn't get anywhere when I was throwing a fish - it was throwing very close, regardless of the camera angle, and died quickly :0
I did not expect this to be a horror game (and I LIKE IT!). Truly an interesting graphic take for the horror genre and the gameplay was easy to grasp without a drawn out explanation.
