Very slick design and great use of the theme! Fun trying to time getting the batteries and spinning my flashlight around. Just a solid concept well executed 💪
I enjoy the flashlight mechanic so much! And the sprites are quite cute!
Feels a little like pacman but some ghosts have different movement and powers, altough after a while i had around 12 ghosts in the game, idk if there is max ghosts in the game but if not you should had it :) it was too much to handle. But overall the game is pretty nice!
Good job! Loved the art and the premise of both using the lantern as a weapon AND as your win condition. Sometimes the ghosts move a bit fast and once it was crowded with them it became somewhat hard to find all the map pieces. Skill issue I guess XD Nonetheless, great game!
This was fun! Got me hooked and reminded me of the oldies. Simple yet effective! Pretty sure this could be expanded and revised with an even juicier post-jam version!
Yes! The game hooked me. I was remined of nebraska joe a little. Nice vibes and feels very complete with only a few elements. Also, it's super satisfying to lure them all into the light :D
Great game! I really liked the idea of pointing the flashlight over scrolls to reveal them. I think it would be cool if collecting extra batteries supercharged your flashlight.
Nice! Very satisfying to pile up a couple ghosties and disintegrate them all in unison.
I had the trimmed resolution bug but it was still perfectly playable. Not being able to see my HP made it a bit more intense and, at the same time, the unintentional lack of UI due to the cut off gave it a bit of a retro feel. Like an '80s arcade game. Oh, and the dimming light of the flashlight to indicate battery level was a cute detail!
Great game, best to wait for the gosths to consume the batteries
Love the art style and the game is really fun once you learn how to play. Just missing some visual feedbeck on your health and battery, but I don't know if that was the plan or not.
Thank you. At least for HP have a couple of hearts in the top-left to indicate it, but the resolution and viewport of the game could be trimming that out of view, maybe if you fullscreen then that shows up? We didnt have time to fix that for everyone oops. For the battery at least the initial idea was to only tell the power by the strength of the light emitted, but maybe thats too subtle for the game. Thanks for the review!
nice entry! love your artstyle. some chilly soundtrack would be perfect. also i'd suggest to give little hints where to find the objectives. i just couldn't find the last one :D
good Game!
Thanks! A nice soundtrack would've been cool but we run out of time in the end, this was our first game :) True the last ones can be quite hidden, maybe we could have some indicator of objectives per area missing, or some other help, thanks for the review <3
I enjoy it but its a littel hard
