I made a wild guess and got it right...10/10!

Some feedback : The mechanics felt amazing, but I would have liked a nice 50s style song to go along with the game as the gameplay is very slow.

Overall, great job!

I like this a lot. I don't know if I just had bad RNG on my first attempt but I didn't even come close. On my second attempt I got the other bad ending and then on my third attempt I succeeded. It feels almost like Cluedo. I'd love to see this expanded with more ways of obtaining clues, plus a method for making notes (even just ticking or crossing off info) in the actual game but I realise that was a time constraint problem. Well done though!

I don't know how I did it, but I actually got the killer with the 3rd newspaper's info. I should've become a detective! Awesome game idea and I'd love to see you expand on it.

This is SUCH an addictive narrative loop, well done!! Really simple, clean, and effective :D Took me 3 unsuccessful tries before I started consistently getting the killer right, but coming back from the dead was well worth the reward! Really cool atmosphere to this, had a lot of fun keeping track of every detail!

Very well done, just enough use of assets to set the stage.

I struggled quite a bit to get the hang of it, I’m saddened to say, but kept going back (from the dead) to give it another try until I could stop the murderer!🔫

Gripping, kept us at the edge of our seat!!

Awesome idea - well done! Would love to see this expanded into something where you have a little more times and clues/traits to work with.

Really solid gameplay loop and the art style was so simple yet so comfy. First time we played we got the killer wrong and did not expect the twist it took at the end! We love a classic whodunnit, well done!

Love the genre, and getting clues from newspaper articles is great, reminds me of the Sherlock board games. I'm just not sure I understood how to get enough clues in time, felt like there were too many traits and not enough clues, especially since you only get one guess.

Thanks for the feedback! I definitely wish I had time for a tutorial to teach the systems a bit better, since the learning curve is a little steep. I just added a short explainer to the game page if you ever feel like trying again :D
