Streamed this game tonight

I was hoping it would be skifree and it was, great little concept. Any plans to flesh this one out and add the yeti?

My original idea had been to make a Samurai Ski game so it's really nice to see one!  I was getting serious Ski Free vibes, all it needed was an enemy to come mess me up.

I beat the game (I think, there we no more houses to be seen). I adore the mc art, especially the way his eyes end up a bit closer together when going sideways. Good job and keep jamming!

Cute little game, would be great to add features, its gonna be really fun ! And original, not much Ski games in this jam.

Ay pretty slick according to me. Made it through with 3 collisions.

I suggest you establish player goals at the beginning of the game, and then check whether they did what they were supposed to do at the end.

  1. A simple "Reach the checkpoint!" may be super cliche, but goes a long way in giving the player something to want to do
  2. Then put a checkpoint at the end. Once we reach, give us a win screen - suddenly its not a mechanic, but it's a complete game. The player overcame an obstacle and was rewarded with victory.

Totally cliche example, but highlights the fundamentals of a gaming experience.

Good hustle overall - all the best for future jams!

Just needs some work on the collision detection but other than should be a fun little game once you've sorted that out!

It's worth working on the sound effects, improve the movement mechanics a bit, and you'll have an enjoyable little game.

Unique idea, some sound effects would be nice. It also seems like the collisions were quite random if they would count as a collision or not.

Thanks! I was worried you'd think I reskinned a previous submission for this, but it seems like a good time of year for a (poorly made) ski-free clone

Makes me think of Bill and Ted's-meets-Ski or Die. Congrats on the submission!
