Streamed this one tonight. Love the wacky 3d enemies, main character looks great, sharp visual fidelity on everything. Some fun little tricky jumps but also some tough to see areas where you dont know if you can jump in that place or not. Enemy can also shoot through walls and sometimes enemies will hit you or not hit randomly.

Punishing if you can't get the true ending in time, but it is on theme!

SS: The visuals are gorgeous, and the sound work is also quite good, perhaps the plataforming should be a little bit more permissive, but over all, is fun. Retrying is quick and the controls are simple, I liked it.

Nice animation work and the sounds are great

The basic idea of a platformer, hack and slash and speedrunning game combined is a fun idea to explore.

Sadly the game suffer from a few “little” mistake that I feel make the game not so fun as it could be.

Staircases/blocks leading to a platform not visible from above, and holes in the ground should have clear distinction between them. Stepping from a ledge, when you already see that the game sometimes steps you from a ledge, just to walk into a hole and die is not fun.

After the snaking back and forth zombie part, you have the same grass as you use on top of the platforms in the whole, which is really confusing as the player is just gonna walk into a hole, because you are signaling ground their with the grass.

Collision is kinda wonky at time, but in the end it is not THAT of a big deal, still confusing on hit and getting hit ranges though.

Music getting TOO loud is also a huge issue, please check your audio level next time.

Art was well done ! Mechanic of dashing with attacking bring difficulty so its cool. Jump system was maybe a little hard to main. Good submission :)

I really liked the visuals of the game. It is an intresting choice  though that the enemy models are 3d while everything else is 2d. The hand drawn parallax backgrounds look especially gorgeus. The attack animation is a little bit weird. It feels like it cuts off in the middle, feels uncomplete. I think it would be better to make separate animations for attack and dash.  It could also be a good idea to use tilemaps. Or maybe you did but some of those sprites are not aligned.  For example the grass sprite and ground tiles aren't aligned so the grass looks like it's in the air. The arrow of archer demons can go through walls, that doesn't make sense and considering that they can one shot you,  it's extra frustrating.  The camera could use some improvement. You can use a cinemachine camera. I think camera's fov is too high, it's too close to the scene. Sometimes you can't see what's down below and jump right into a pit. The time limit thing is cool but i think it's out of context here. Don't get me wrong i totally support the feel of emergence in video games. Like in Majora's Mask or Fallout 1. But you need to wok it into the context or story of the game. In this game it felt to me like i was being forced to speedrush the game. After the second time i turned into a demon i got bored and stopped playing. I can give it another shot later.

Anyways, i hope i wasn't too harsh. I think there's a good potential for your game if neccessary fixes and improvements are made. Good job for the team. I wish you luck on your future projects

The main character is really cool !! The implied story makes you want to see more also :) Music is fitting and sound fxs make the character event more real. A shame there is no kill animation for foes as the killing feels a bit bland without it, also the slash should go further , the reach is very small and doesn't feel powerful :)

Would be curious to see a post jam version :) (awesome main character )

The art in this, between the sprites and the backgrounds, are all very nice.  I found the combat to be enjoyable and the use of the attack as a bit of a forward movement helpful for the flow of the platforming. The changing into red was cool too. Great work!

Great music and art, fitted so well together. Some death animations rather than just instant despawn would be nice tho. Overall fun game, but the jump felt somewhat inconsistent as if i randomly got stuck on edges. The forward boost on dash felt nice.

I thought the lore of the blood moon, the art, and the race against time created an epic ambience. It was a lot of fun to play.

I very much enjoyed playing this game. It was exciting and at times exhillirating!

Well done, you made a fantastic entry.

It's a very enjoyable game. Really liked the visuals and sound effects. For me the character control seemed too inert, I would like more control.

Neat game! Love the artwork for the main character. I did end up getting the real ending on the 2nd playthrough. A little confused about the story but other than that it was a short and fun experience.

Fun platformer! The character art for the main character is beautiful, she is so full of personality in all of her frames.

I really love the art style (have a soft spot for vector graphics) but I have issues with the jump. Although that might be because I am absolute garbage at platformers. Aside from that, I love this game. Well done!

So. I like the female samurai's design and using your slash as momentum is a nice gimmick. And as per the platformer type of gameplay, its mostly slash and jump your way to the end.

Overall, I like the aesthetics, however the character design clash between the player character's 2d Design and the 3d design is awkward to look. And the slash doesn't have that sort of strong impact. It just slash and off it goes. And while I understand why, considering scope, its an assessment/nitpick I noticed. I don't know if the slow sword swing animation is intentional or just time constraints at work.

Also, it abruptly just ends. And I guess for what its worth, its fine. It just loops back to the start of the map abruptly.

Thanks for playing and appreciate the feedback!

It's probably not clear as we didn't have time, but if you loop back to the start of the game...you haven't reached the end of the game. I've added a note to the game description so that's less confusing to future players. So thanks for calling that out!
