If you have implemented the modifier, how have you done so?
All Suggestions given to the player, must be combined at the end of it.

Any additional information for voters?
We wrote up a pretty gag-filled script. The art was styled to have both good and poor design & color choices. We chose to mess around with the style and tone of our sfx/VO. We hope that you find the gameplay funky!

This is a cute entry! Took me a bit to figure out the second fight, that was a nice little twist. Presentation was almost too good to be SBIG, but not quite, and I really enjoyed the silly writing. Nice job!

Developer

Thanks so much for the feedback! I think I under-estimated how much the silly writing would come off as a good thing - I actually thought our wacky choices would come through more!

This was such a unique and creative interpretation of "Every suggestion combined"! I absolutely loved the story and it was really sweet! I always remembered being quite sad when science teachers at school said Pluto was not a planet: I was just like "Poor Pluto 😥": I'm glad Pick-Me-Pretty-Please got it's happy ending!

This game is remarkably polished for a SBIGJam game: hell - just a jam game in general! There are features that I never usually like a saving icon 😅 and I must say the jam page is one of the nicest looking pages I've seen! Honestly if anything it's probably *too* good! But I'll give SBIG credits for the way the second  planet battle is handled: That was super creative!

I also love the attention to sounds,  and the sorta mumble Voice Acting! I love a good mumble voice, and this worked really well for the story!

Thanks so much for submitting!

Thanks so much for running this jam! It allowed me to get really creative and ask myself a lot of questions - like, "What is bad design? How can I balance good with the bad?" I actually felt like our entry turned out mediocre because of the lack of clear commitment to good or bad - so it's been so nice to hear all this positive feedback!

I felt the same about Pluto, and that's what inspired the story, actually! Glad to hear that you liked our page, SFX/VO, and the interpretation as much as you did, thanks so much for playing our entry!

I found this fun, and I think its a good game, but I have to agree with the other comments here in saying that for me it doesn't truly fit the bill of a "so bad its good" game.  Because quite frankly it's more cute than bad, to me it feels like a game that could be submitted to a more regular game jam with some typos and odd humour.

That being said I did enjoy it and found the dialogue funny! And most crucially for this jam in my opinion: it wasn't boring!

The art was well done, and the music was nice and chill, and the sound effects and little voices were nice. But again they were good, not "so bad its good".

The gameplay itself does have some nice odd decisions especially with the second battle, and having the player being bounced everywhere when colliding with something.

Overall though I enjoyed it, and I think the team should be proud of what you all made. Good work!

Hey, thanks for trying out our game, and for the feedback! We definitely didn't anticipate the bits that we thought as "bad" to come off as "good" in the end - I think the important thing I learnt through this jam is what people are perceiving to be "bad", is really varying from person to person a fair bit. Also a symptom of what is probably my perfectionism. :x

Glad you enjoyed it still, and yes, we definitely feel quite proud of our entry!

This was really fun to play! I liked the gameplay variety and both the art and sound design, and the puzzle in the second battle was a neat touch as well.

Thanks for the feedback, and for trying out our game!

I’d say that this is more of a ‘good’ game than a ‘so bad it’s good’ game tbh. It does have some charm to it, and is a mostly pleasant experience.

Did have a couple of awkward deaths in the asteroid parts by accidentally erring too far out of bounds (not from bumping into any of the asteroids), but tbf that might just be more of a skill issue than a real problem with the game itself.

Developer(+1)

We tried to be janky with the gameplay (so it wasn't entirely a skill-based issue you had per say).
We thought that the meme-ish storyline & VO, and some bad designs thrown into the overall "good" artstyle would do the trick,
but I think we could have been bolder. Thanks for the feedback!

This is a nice little game. Not sure it's bad at all though. I think you can continue working on this in the future and find some success with it. I like the "multiple games" combined together aspect of it

Developer

That's very kind of you. Maybe one day we will back to this project...

Developer

Glad to hear that you liked it so much! There were definitely things we tried to do that we thought were bad, but I guess we weren't wild with it enough! xD Let's see what the future holds for the game. :) Thank you very much for your feedback.

Was pretty fun to play. I liked your creativity in implementing the modifier, as well as in your combat system's gimmick. I couldn't find anything noticeably "bad" about your entry, though the game does have a slightly janky feel to it. That's better than the alternative of just having a bad game though :P

Developer

I would definitely agree with you. I think it is better to make game a little too good, that too bad haha.

Developer

Yeah, I think we were too timid with the things that we thought were "bad" about the game, but we definitely tried! I think it's hard to go towards bad when we are always aiming for polish! Glad you liked it though, and thanks for the feedback!

Great entry! Loved the music, and sounds, and the artwork. And the story was really cute. It's really good, but I couldn't see much bad, I guess. I enjoyed it.

Developer

I'm glad you like it! Haha yeah... We made the game a little too good.

We were aiming for more of a stupid/slapstick/meme-ish oriented script! I had no idea it would come off as cute!

Glad you liked it, and thank you for your feedback!

I liked this one, but...

I just don't know if this is So Bad It's Good at all. It's humorous, and makes a few odd design decisions, but overall it felt way too cute and had way too much charm to fall into that narrow band between good and bad. It was quirky, sure, but not in a way I associate with so bad it's good.

I did find the asteroid sections to be annoyingly RNG-dependent, but that's just annoying, it didn't really make it feel SBIG.

It did make creative use of the modifier, though.
