Really fun! After  trying this game, I can safely say I'm not cut out to be a mechanical turk 😂

In my first through attempts, I tried to play the game properly, as intended. I quickly realised I  wasn't going to get everything,  and ended up costing the glorious corporate overlords money. This was a problem

So I thought, why not just overcharge everyone on everything?!? Surely that way we'll earn the big buck! Unfortunately the customers revolted. Drats!

So I finally went into full corporate mode and was like "What if I just produced kinda correct results!?" I looked at the averages of items from each customer (seemingly 3-5 items usually), and just picked any 3-5 items so they had a basket close-ish to correct. Unfortunately I never got close enough to get  a good ending 😥

The game softlocked over 50% of the  time for me, which is enough for me to probably describe this game as "broken".  In the ~10 times I played this, the majority of the  time customers got stuck in the  isles between the kettles and the TVs. While not a big issue it  did hinder my efforts to get a perfect score quite considerably!

For a first time game this is actually really good!  loved the title screen music! Thanks for taking part in the jam!

Thank you Ned! We're happy that you enjoyed our game!  We'll address soft-lock issue soon. Maybe the real good ending was the customers we meet along the way.

I now know why Jungle Go decided to replace me with Smart Carts.

I actually like the gameplay concept in this one, but I think it's just way too fast-paced and a bit too clunky in its current form.

It felt like everytime I had managed to focus and get one customer their order, another two had entered the store. I also think the ability to click on customers to show them on the clipboard would be a great QOL addition. I also would've preferred a larger and more "clicky" UI for selecting the items, like some sound effect play for adding/removing items. I guess I just felt it was missing feedback.

I did like the little graphics and the mouth sound effects for everything to indicate the customers desires.

All in all a neat idea, nice art and sound, but the pacing and controls need some work. For a first time jam though this was a pretty good start. Good job!

Thank you for the feedback! I think rebalancing the pacing and difficulty would have helped a lot, but we ran out of time to play test. We also did have a slate of QOL features, like clicking the customer to make it easier to navigate the clipboard was in our original list.

However, we ended up ditching that idea to just force the player to frantically flip through the pages in the spirit of SBIG. In hindsight, I think that may not have been a good decision since the clunkiness doesn't add to the game in anyway.

Thought the gameplay could be a bit slower or let you breath a bit more at the start so you figure it out.; especially since UI/controls were a bit clunky for me. Maybe only showing customers currently in the store would make it easier to keep track/cycle through them?

Graphics are great as well as the sound design; I liked the intro "song" a lot. Congratz on your first jam!

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, there are definitely a lot of improvements I think we could've made to pacing, controls, and explanations. Part of it was because we were still putting things together down to the last minute :") but now we'll be faster for the next time!
