If you have implemented the modifier, how have you done so?
The core gameplay mechanic is based around sound. And sound assets of course.
Any additional information for voters?

First off, I absolutely love the art in this game! The hand-drawn style is so nice, and it's actually all very cohesive, dare I even say it, good!
I agree with everyone below who said the UI could be a lot faster, the pace did seem a bit off sometimes, but the core gameplay is really good! I could see this being expanded with even crazier obstacles and larger maps. I think making the obstacle soundwave colours closer to the player soundwave colours might add a bit of extra difficulty, as currently it's quite easy to locate everyone. (even if the time limit can sometimes make it quite tight!
I had a lot of fun with this though and it's a great finished product! Well done!
Glad you liked it and appreciate the feedback. The UI I already addressed in other comments. Have a few content updates ready to push but I'm waiting for the voting period to end first.
As for expanding the game further; I do plan to work on it a bit more when I get back home. Everything is setup in a way that makes it really easy for me to add a lot more content. I do feel like the game is a bit too easy as it is at the moment due to maps being too small so there is not that much use for peek skill and decision-making on who to go after next. There are currently 2 more game over conditions in addition to time out: peeking to close to another player (cheating) and catching the dog (bite).
Was also considering how it would like as a multiplayer game but I'm worried the gameplay for players that are not "marco" would be a bit too boring.
Thanks for playing!
I liked this as a cute little game. I like the extra obstacles and sounds thrown in to throw the player off and prevent them from spamming the catch key.
The art is nice, though admittedly I think the UI could've been 2-3 times as fast and it would've made the game much more enjoyable.
I'm not sure if the game totally qualifies as so bad its good to me though, I mean the sound does, but that art feels more "cute" than "bad" in a way. It's hard to describe exactly.
Overall though I finished it and enjoyed it, good work!
Yeah main focus for the bad part was definitely sound due to the modifier. To be honest I though art will turn out much worse than it actually did, especially after seeing some feedback people really seem to liek it (in a good way). UI I'll definetly make faster once the voting period is over as I'm waiting to update some other stuff as well (ambient bg sound for all levels/main menu, new bg for main menu, intro cinematics for companions, etc.). Thanks for playing!
Ok, this is a fun little time. The hand-drawn art is really super charming, and a lot of the UI sounds being just your voice is a fun decision. The gameplay is pretty solid too, having to keep track of all the closest players and what obstacles stand between you and them. Plus that darn dog lol. I feel so bad though, because I kept getting poor Helga out first every single round

Thanks for playing, glad you liked it!
Awesome game! I really love the art design and style for this one. I actually had a similar idea to this one for use of modifier, but veered in a different direction lol.
Glad you liked it, thanks for playing!
Fun little childhood type game.
(Squid Game!?)Kinda annoying how slow the UI animations are, but otherwise very cool game.Yeah I agree about the UI, gets annoying after a while. The idea was to keep the speed of slide ins/outs somewhat realistic (as if a person was sliding it in). If noting else I could change it so they all slide in at the same time; same as with the slide out animation. Will probably work some more on this game after the jame so thanks for feedback and thanks for playing!
Since you are using Unity, there is actually a free package that can help you animate things and is super easy to use.
It's called "DOTween" and can be found in the Unity Asset Store. It allows you to interpolate values over time. You can use the "shortcut" extension function like transform.DOMove() to interpolate properties of an object, or you can set up your own tweens that call your own functions. There are also many ease methods. You can make an object accelerate and/or decelerate over time.
I've also used this package to make some animations in my game. If you watch closely, you'll notice that when the cup moves, it starts fast and slows down when it is closer to the destination. This makes the animation look quick and also smooth at the same time.
Thanks for the suggestion. I'm not really using any packages because I didn't really have the time yet to dive into it. The slideins are done through linear interpolation with a simple while loop atm.
Will make sure to check your game before the voting period ends!
The art is so good. Excellent work!
Thanks for playing!
very pleasant game you have there :)
Thanks for playing!
Fun game! I really like the art style and sound design.
Thanks for playing!
The art style is very charming! And I love Frankie
Appreciate it, spent a lot of time making it! Thanks for playing!
Nice game!! Love the art style :) Wish the tutorial went a little faster though, but otherwise it was really fun!
Appreciate it, spent a lot of time making it!
Not sure if you played the fixed version (with Luca's dialogue or not) since it was bugged in v1. Also fixed some other issues andmissing sounds now.
Anyway didn't really have time to do any tweaking of the values pre-submission so all "slide ins" stayed on default values I had. Will definetly play around with it in the future. Thanks for playing!
