I loved the mix between 2d pixel art (awesome) and 3d. I had a little trouble figuring out what I was supposed to do at first, but once I got into the swing of things it was really fun. It would be really nice to see a post-jam version!
Yeah, we realised the design of the gameplay itself was a little unclear from the get-go, just not enough time to fix it by submission time sadly. Glad you liked it!
Wow, the art is incredible and the voice acting is awesome. Loved the combination of 2D pixel art and 3D, makes it feel really unique.
Cheers!
That is some really cool art, i definitely need to learn a trick or two on that. love pixelart
Thanks so much!
Incredible concept of gameplay, the mix of 2d and 3d is amazing, the music is really good, and I loved how you used the jam's theme. Well done !
Thanks so much! We tried to shoot for a unique concept, glad it worked out. :D
Amazing sound effects, especially dying and rebirth. The art style is great too, loved the visuals of meteors. If the gameplay had a bit more depth it would be a 10/10.
Yeah, our concept for the gameplay ended up getting a little muddled toward the end as time started running out, would have liked to have fleshed out the end goal and how scoring worked if we had more time. I personally put a bunch of time into the audio because I know its important to get a good "feel". Glad to hear that all translated across! Thanks for the feedback!
Amazing. Absolutely love the aesthetic and vibe, I would really love a full game in that style. The gameplay was pretty nice too, really enjoyable experience overall, at least a top 10 in my book :)
Hey, thanks so much! It means a ton. This was my first time experimenting with 2D on 3D, using sprite sheets and etc. Really proud of how it came out honestly, glad you liked it too. Cheers for the positive feedback!
Using the simulacrum felt like breathing again after holding your breath for a long time, Great job with the game.
Glad I could get the urgency of the aging mechanic right, spent quite a bit of time just to make that visibly clear to the player. Thanks, dude!
Love the voice acting and the general vibe of the game, especially the camera turning when you move your character. But when I try to play again (in webgl) I get an unity error, so I had to reload the page and watch the cutscene again.
Thanks so much! Yeah, the game is intended to just close on the desktop version, didn't know the WebGL would crash. It's actually the biggest current issue, since we ran into problems with restarting the scene, we had to make the decision to make people hard reset sadly. Cheers for the feedback, man!
Awesome game, love the visuals and the music. I do think the mana system could be explained a little better, I thought I was looking for a different type of orb. But I figured that one out soon enough.
I agree with the mana, especially towards the end of development. The menu was wrapped up within the last hour and didn't get much time to explain those more core mechanics properly. Would have liked to have a explanation popup on game start, just didn't get the time for that polish. Thanks for the feedback, my guy!
Pretty fun take on the theme that has lot of juggling between scoring and survival. The 2D-on-3D style works quite nicely. Also dropping meteors on random people never gets old.
I'm glad I got the satisfaction of the meteors right, that's good to hear! Thanks for the feedback!
its a challenging game to keep playing and is pretty entretaining! it gives me dnd inspo c;
Cheers!
Cool idea and very awesome art style in the intro with a nice voice over. Personally not a fan of mixing 3D with 2D sprites and I thought the music didn't really fit.
Fun little game!
Much appreciated! Thought we'd add a little storytelling flair for the fun of it. For music, I just needed something completed fast that was unique and fit the speed of the action, I agree it doesn't really fit a fantasy theme at all, maybe the ridiculousness of the wizard though... Thanks for the positive feedback!
Very nice game. I love the art and SFX. Great work!
Thanks for the lovely feedback :D
The graphics are awesome and I love the voice acting with effects!
Hahaha, I'm glad! Thanks for the feedback, man!
Very good pixel art, but the game is confusing and the cutscene should probaly be skippable. Also the game crashes when I lose.
Thanks for the response! You can skip the cutscene with Escape.
