This is a unique take on chess I believe
I really like this game.
Much better played on the PC build as u said.
I would have loved to have some UI to tell me which of my pieces had multiple movements since I kept forgetting or misclassifying them.
also maybe as a difficulty setting maybe add a toggle that tells you where enemy pieces can move for a while so that those who don't play chess or maybe those who aren't familiar with the movement scheme find it easier to start with the game.
I think this has the potential to be really good given some extra time.
All in all, really nice and I love the art.
Good job!
"This is very unfinished due to over scoping and literally one person programming so that wasn't fun to deal with"
I feel you ;_;. Even with a second programmer, we waited too late to scale down the project. Good job getting all this done on your own!!!
I love chess, so I am biased.. but I think this is a wonderful idea. I would really like to see this concept after some more development. I also think the aesthetics were really well done.
Very original. Pretty fun. Nica job :)
A good use of the chess rules. Pieces look nice !
I'm glad I tried PC version - makes much more sense and is pretty good. Too bad high scores seems to be not working :(
I initially tried playing the web version and thought it was fun but had some trouble understanding until I installed the PC build and realized how much I was missing and it made much more sense! I really like designs for the pieces and it was a lot of fun planning around my next piece. All this is missing is satisfying sound effects and it'd be perfect!
Fun idea.
This is a neat idea. The art is really cool, but it is a bit hard to tell which piece is which.
Cool idea, and I liked the art!
