Woah, this was not what I expected!
While admittedly the UI and lack of sound is a bit boring, everything else was amazing! The story was very detailed and thought out, with the gameplay making me actually feel like the character trying to be conveyed!
This is an overall great game and earned a 5/5 on Enjoyment and Story from me! Congrats! Keep up the amazing work!
Really good atmosphere, the story was really detailed and well made. The only thing is the lack of sound like the letters being typed out and some kind of background noise like static to represent the monitor and/or background music, I think that would really improve on the imersion of the game.
That was incredible and really creative. It's obvious you put a lot of work in the content and that was really enjoyable
Thanks for your kind words! That means a lot :)
remind me not to hook up any brains I find regardless of whether they've got USB jacks in the back
Seriously though I'm a sucker for terminal-based storytelling and this hit all the right spots. Loved sifting through the old logs and working backwards trying to understand the systems. Would've loved it to just be a tad faster so I could get more haha
Yeah, you'd think "not plugging my computer into the obvious plot element" would be more common knowledge. Oh well. But thank you! I'm glad to hear that :)
Absolutely phenominal!! In the beginning I sort of forgot I was playing a horror game and I was surprised when the horror element was introduced. The story is incredible and I love how the player has to piece together what happened. Really really great work. One thing though, I think a skip text or faster text option would improve it, cause I found it updated slower than I read.
I completely agree on the skip text button. But thank you! That's so rad, I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
I *LOVED* this. A+ story telling. The more you read the more things start to link up, the more you learn about meat.
One tiny criticism, give a skip text scrolling button. I'd put it on things you have already read once so you don't lose the pacing the first time round, but you don't need to wait for it to finish if you've already experienced that screens events.
Brilliant stuff, excellent work!
Thank you! That means a lot :) I absolutely agree about the skip text button, I'll be sure to implement that as soon as I can.
It starts slow but once it gets going you really wanna uncover all of it! Every time the "thing" writes it's great. The inevitable, absolute part was so good! Sound effects and some ambience/music are definitely missing and would add sooo much to the experience. The story could be even creepier if you leave even more details to the imagination and suggest more disturbing developments. Regardless this is surely the best story in the jam, great job!
Oh man. The creators of the beloved "Do Not Look at the Moon" played MY game? Legendary. Thank you so much!
Your comment made our day, thank you! :D
it really gives the feeling of unraveling what happened investigating in a terminal. I loved it!
That's so good to hear! Thanks so much for playing and enjoying it.
That was amazing! One of my favourites so far, the story is brilliant, you have built an entire world that feels very real, like others have mentioned I would love some sounds to make the experience even greater, but as it is it's very enjoyable, I will be waiting for the "real" ending!
Thank you so much! Don't worry, it's coming :)
this one has been my favorite so far! i cant wait to see future stuff from you :-)
Thank you! That means so much, I really appreciate it :)
Brilliant story, it was really engrossing. Nice work :D
That's good to hear! Thanks for your kind words :D
I really appreciate the large amount of effort you put into creating detailed, interesting logs. The story was interesting and has me wishing for a story-based Trade Wars 2002.
Thank you so much! I'd never heard of that series, it sounds rad as heck.
Very interesting! Found two endings
Good stuff: intriguing story, atmosphere, lot of worldbuilding crammed into such a small project
Bad stuff: waiting for the text to appear is excruciatingly slow (there should be a skip button that immediately shows the whole page), no audio whatsoever (some terminal beep-boops would boost the atmosphere even further) , intriguing story but cut short and unexpected (i know it says the real ending coming soon but still)
Thanks for your comment! I'm planning on implementing all the features you mentioned (especially the skip button), but it's good to have a definitive list of player interests. Much appreciated!
Looks super cool and the story is fun and creepy. I wish there was some more interaction besides clicking on different options on the screen, but it was an enjoyable experience nonetheless.
Thank you for your comment! I'm glad you enjoyed it for what it is.
Cool game! Nice buildup.
That's good to hear, thanks for saying so :)
