I love this game, the changing camera views and the heartbeat based on distance gave this game a really scary vibe.

But the best part in my opinion is that you can see the monster view + the visualized audio signals.

Resident Evil!

This immediately screams to me Resident Evil, primarily because of the camera angles! In general this is not a bad title, and in fact could be quite enjoyable to the right audience. My only major complaint is the design of the building looks like a bunch of shipping containers, which makes it hard to visually navigate without the map.

Overall, I have really nothing much else to say! Solid piece, good job!

Developer

Oh I agree, the design of the environment is cold and looks like container walls, it all comes from one asset. We wanted to have more diversity in the design of the rooms (so that the user can find his way around more easily with different rooms) but with the little time we had we ended up making a rather similar and basic environment.

thanks a lot for playing!! ^-^

Really cool concept! The HUD is awesome, and the way you watch the gameplay through  CCTV cameras is a really cool concept. It can make the controls feel really clunky when switching from one camera to another, but that might be something you could smooth out in updates maybe, or just something that a player needs to take the time to get used to. The voice acting was done well, and something that you don't get a lot of in jams- we'd never heard of Replica before seeing this, but will definitely be trying it out. Overall, good job :D

Developer

Hello! Thanks a lot for the comments :)) I agree about the controls we could try to make them smoother. Glad you discovered this asset for voice acting!

I liked the camera angles when I entered certain rooms and how you can hold WASD to rotate. The map on the side was really convenient for me to go through the game. Lastly, the background music created a lot of tension within the game. Great job!

Developer

I'm glad you liked the map, without it it was hard to find your way around the game haha! Thanks for playing!

The tension! I was running and screaming. XD  Nice work with the cam angles! You can get lost in between the rooms, but I really liked the fact that the monster can search inside the cabinet! Good job! gg

Developer

I must confess that I also got lost between the rooms when I was testing XD

Ohoh thanks for pointing out that part of the gameplay. The monster can open some cabinets but not all of them (he opens something like half ot them in a room) so you might have a chance to escape :)

@Lamamour that was a fresh experience I really liked the camera angles one thing that I think didn't work well for me is the controls it sometimes felt late responsive though I understand the time constraint maybe this is something you can fix in the future overall good job OcΓ©ane :D

Developer

Thanks for playing and glad you liked the experience! We'll check the controls on our side, thanks for the feedback!

Really good at building tension, the heart beat sound based on proximity in particular was very nice, also in terms of design, having all the stuff you can interact with be green made it very intuitive, nice work!

Thanks a lot for playing and for the feedbacks :D

Really love the monitor set up and the fixed camera angles make it feel like an old Resident Evil game. The maps are well designed and the voice acting at the start was great, it actually made me jump haha. My only difficulty with the game were the controls but I suppose it adds to that old Resident Evil style experience. Really impressive game, you can tell a lot of work went into it

Developer

Thank you playing and for the feedbacks, it means a lot! :))

Wow, that's a very nice game :)

Reminded me of Resident Evil. As I saw the monster I was like: "what the f***" xD

Who did the voice?

Now I'm also interested in developing a 3D game^^

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! That's the expected reaction lmao, glad it surprised you!

For the voices we used https://replicastudios.com/, you should have a look it's really cool and useful

Thanks for the reply :)

Seems like a nice tool. I'm not a fan of having to register everywhere, but I  will save the link.

Good environment! I have remembered "Alone in the Dark" game with this kind of camera but, it's a little difficult to detect and avoid the monster ;). Minimap is very useful!

Developer(+1)

Yesss the difficulty might be a bit high haha :) this is a good comparison

Thanks a lot for playing our game!!!

Cool environments! IThe  monster  is  unexpected  XD

I like the interface with floorplans and monitors. It is a little bit complicated to orientate at the beginning but it is fine.

I like the option to hide in the boxes and voice acting.

Thanks for the cool experience!

Hope you could check our game too!

Developer

Thanks for playing and thanks for the feedback!!! Haha glad to hear this was unexpected, that was the point :D Sure let's check this!!
