It started off really interesting with the back story, there was 0 sound for me and I am not sure if that was intended but it was pulling away from the overall feel.
I gave up after feeding the creature 12 times and training it 4 times, nothing had changed and the actions were too repetitive to enjoy with 0 result.
Yep, the current version is an unfinished project. The updated one will be posted after the jam ends. And I was about to add more events depending on how many you feed and train the humanoid. Also other interesting things. But for now, it's kind of boring since there is only 1 ending for the jam version. Thanks for your review!
it's good visual!
I'll tell you a secret because I was too lazy to draw. So I chose this art style to limit the amount of work and focus on functions and choices (update in the future) instead (γγ»Ογ»γ)
The out-of-game lore and notes got me very interested, but the actual game looked like a very long grind to type β1β then move the mouse, click, drag, drop, and again β¦ I got bored at some point, then hit a bug (my humanoid started to be draggable, so I spawned a bunch of dumbbell, but the UI got stuck on one, I couldnβt interact much with it afterwards). Interesting, but a bit lacking gameplay-wise in my opinion.
Thanks for your review and suggestion! I will surely improve the speed of the game and add more events in game and fix that bug. The current vers is an unfinished project and will receive a long term development after the jam!
And can you give me more details about "UI got stuck on one"? Because I was trying to simulate the bug that you had again but you still can interact with the draggable objects.
I was getting bored, so I added a bunch of pigs (like 20). Then I proceeded for each one to click on it, type β1β, then move it. At some point, the menus started nos responding correctly, like my mouse was off. I could click, and some things answered, but I could not type anymore. Maybe this is due do escaping the fullscreen then coming back to the game, dunno. Sorry I donβt have much info.
No worry, fixing bug is programmer work (sometimes their brain.exe just stop working). I guess the problem you are experiencing is that the typing area is actually a separate box from the text, so when you resize it, its position is somehow relocated.
Thanks for your true thoughts and details! Experience is what I need the most at the beginning.
I think you combined tamagotchi with a more simulator style of game. I enjoyed that. The beginning is a bit slow though. Still a realy good concept and can recommend to play.
Still a long way to go, and sadly this is an unfinished project. But thanks for your review! I will surely make the game grow!
nice visuals, but I'm not sure everyone wants to visit a website to try out a jam entry.
Maybe you are right, this is the first time I ever join a jam. But I am aiming for the future of this game by expanding it little by little. Thanks for your review!
You should! Nice base idea, I would see, where it's going! Keep up the good work on this.
Interesting game feels like a tamagotchi type of game with a twist :D I am not sure what rasinig the intelligence did though. Also maybe adding some simple beep boop computer sounds can make the game more responsive. Really cool entry well done! Hope you work on it :)
Appreciate your review! I have a long-term plan for this game and will update it little by little. A small update will be uploaded after the jam ends soon (since I can't do it during the jam). It's good to know this game has a small potential o(β§ββ¦)o
Thanks to all who play my game ^.^, this is just the first brick of my game. I will continue to add more content and clearer hints for the game soon! And of course . . . there are some unexpected bugs which are . . . not my intended (whoops)
Enjoyed the aesthetics and method of interacting with the humanoid but would have liked a little more to happen beyond the humanoid sprite changing and I wasn't sure if there would be a payoff or end if I continued to feed and train it. The documents/lore combined with the presentation was effective and I would have liked it more with a little stronger gameplay or at least more response to player action.
Yes! that's what I am aiming for and working on it. Sadly I couldn't finish it in time (will add it later) :< since the test seasons in my university. But glad you dropped a review here! thanks!
It's an interesting concept with the computer aesthetic, however I wasn't sure how to do anything except for training and feeding the guy, I couldn't even get him to raise his intelligence. I think there is an interesting start of a game with the weird redacted documents and all but it needs to be fleshed out and explained more! Keep it up!
I understand the guidance isn't clear enough for new users to read. I will try my best to improve it like adding more images and pages. Thanks for your review mate!
First I was intrigued, then uncertain how much can happen? I did the guy up to 7 intelligence then was not sure anything else could be done.
I see . . . and sorry for the unclear guidance or documents :< And thanks for letting me know what to improve more!
