Plenty to like with this project. I think you did a good job to reflect the character's disorientation through repeated and non-linear corridors and moving shaders and textures. Having a convincingly voice-acted performance of a character who is as confused and unsettled as we are works well. I for one, welcome the shadow man.
Thanks for submitting TEARS OF ASH to the jam!
Thank you so much for the feedback! We’re really happy that the atmosphere and design choices came through effectively. We would have loved just a bit more time to polish the game further—adding menus, refining the story narrative, and catching a few remaining bugs. It was a fantastic experience for us, and we’re grateful for the chance to share TEARS OF ASH in the jam. Thanks again for organizing!
Very nice visuals! You guys that use unreal really manage to make things look good!
Went all around the house and it all looks really nice. Had some problems opening doors :(
Got locked inside the bedroom and didn't know what to do!
It looks visually very well polished and the controls are smooth!
Hee-ho. I can't download the game (windows defender blocks the file)
Great work with the camera work and overall POV experience of the game. Love how much attention was given into trying to make the perspective immersible.
Very promising start! It could have paced itself a bit better, but as a proof of concept and second game ever, this was a great entry! Hoping to see more and more from these devs! The atmosphere was spot-on!

Making a game in a week is a challenging task, and unfortunately, there are many things we couldn’t implement due to time constraints. We are a small team of people who are trying to turn their love for video games and art into their job! Comments like this can only fill us with joy and motivate us to keep improving!
That sure was a creepy vibe in the game. I got jumpscared on the first loop.
I really like the vibe but I got stuck in the kitchen/living room and all the doors are locked lol
