Nice game! The UI remebers me of OSU
š¼I am an osu player actually, rank 28000 something
I dont play osu, but i played it once.
Interesting concept for sure! This is a banger!
Awesome rhythm game, UI looks really nice and polished.
Very impressive, especially the UI work is super professional. I was just a bit confused at the start on which note to press to begin since I didn't see it glow, but after that I started to get the hang of it and had some fun. Again, very well made, nice job!
Insane game. Incredibly polished and much content!
Thank you!
Nice little rhythm game! I think it would have been nice to have actual rhythmic timing required for the notes you play, but everything was transposed nicely and I had a good time! Especially spamming the hell out of F during rush E :D
Thank you!
Ah it looks fun! I wish I could test it.. (but no windows)
What a creative game ! Love the fact that it turns the concept of a rhythm game on its head, lovely backgrounds too. Well made :)
Thank you!
Love seeing a rhythm game in a speed run competition lol, very clever! Super clean UI too, nice work. I thought hexagons was pretty good and mostly fun but was iffy on the others, seeing rush e in there which Iām at least aware of I donāt know how much is original compositions vs reference? A lot of it was musically pretty unrecognizable for me, and I definitely felt myself wishing it was actually just a rhythm gameā¦ for me at least I found it hard to sort of get into the groove with the songs. I see you are actually calculating our inputted bpm, I wonder how it would be to have a backing track that loosely follows it?
As it is I feel like Iām relying entirely on visuals for something that aesthetically is telling me I should be relying on my ears, I think thereās something about a steady tempo that makes the hand eye coordination lock in better. And then I feel like thereās something that didnāt work for me about DFJK as the controls specifically, maybe, in that Iām seeing four colored blobs, and my brainās having to do a couple layers of translating to get from that to the actual finger pressings instead of falling into a flow. I wonder if having the letters on the dots wouldāve felt easier than having them only down on the bottom of the screen. I bet hooking it up to a midi pad controller like my Maschine would be a lot more tactile and fun than having to unergonomically repeatedly type kebyoard notes, which I suppose if I was dedicated enough to do I could set upā¦ Some kind of rebindable option or controller support wouldāve been appreciated (unless they were present and I missed it!)
Outside of my own personal nitpicks around these types of games as a professional musician, I suspect this could be a really fun speed game for people it clicks with and probably makes for a decent watch, assuming theyāre not playing on Silent. Also really liked the Meows as a sound option. I donāt mean to come across as negative if I did, I think this is really well executed over all :)
Thank you for playing and your feedback! Itās very appreciated :) Hooking up a midi controller is a very cool idea for sure!
Very groovy
Like you say in the description, I totally see (not really) how it definitely fits the theme, but apart from that it's a cool concept with a cool presentation and well polished all around package. Good job!
Never thought I would see a rhythm(?) game as a speedrun submission, interesting approach. The UI is really well done, very satisfying. Also like that there is already a wide selection of songs to choose from.
One thing I noticed when playing Rush E is that even though I'm hitting every key, how is my accuracy below 100%? Given there is no tempo, I'm just confused on how that is possible. Is there something I'm missing? Otherwise, I enjoyed playing, great job!
Thank you!! Through the time between you press notes, it calculates your bpm. It uses how far off you are with your own bpm as it's accuracy :D
TL:DR there is a tempo, but it is changing to you
