Quite a lot of fun! Nice and addictive, gives a feeling of "just one more game" - just like I like it.

The game play feels very smooth! It got a little stressful there after a while

It's quite a challenge! I really like the gameplay :)

Hey, tried to run the game from binary, but it said

chickadee/config.scm:46:7: In procedure dynamic-link*:
could not find library ("libmpg123")

…alhough I do have

$  ls -al /usr/lib64/libmpg123.so
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 19 апр 29 12:36 /usr/lib/libmpg123.so -> libmpg123.so.0.47.0

Tried to run from source (I have Guix PM on top of Gentoo stable distribution), but unfortunately it failed as well:

Which version of mpg123 does the binary expect? I might try some VMs.

Developer

What distro and version are you using? The bundle has all the libs packed within it and the launcher script sets LD_LIBRARY_PATH accordingly, so a failure to a link to a library suggests there's some incompatibility.

Submitted(+1)

That’d be Gentoo stable. Yeah I see the LD_LIBRARY_PATH is set in the script. This is truly weird.

I’ve tried Ubuntu 22.04 VM and it is even weirder, I got the similar traceback, but for libpng: https://pastebin.com/E9QgHJ3W

Developer(+1)

Strange! I tested on Ubuntu 20.04 so I'd expect the situation to be better on 22.04. Ugh! Well, thank you for trying all this! I'll have to try for myself in a VM and see if I can reproduce.

At last, I’ve read the fine manual and managed to compile the game from source using guix shell (quite nice tool, might want to learn it myself).

Loved the visual style and fast-pacedness of the game! Although it might be a bit too hard for my flabby reflexes 😅

This is really fun! But boy is it hard!

Submitted(+1)

It’s really creative and happens to be very addictive! It’s really difficult! Good job.
