fun little game. reminds me a lot of playing spore back in the day.

i think one idea to make the game slightly more grounded would be to have each color of creature correspond to a specific size (although these could be cyclic). that way, you can tell how large you are getting with some consistency, as right now it's kind of hard to feel like you're getting any bigger than the creatures around you.

one fun mechanic for me was watching the creature that ate me later get eaten itself. i think this game could actually make a pretty fun idle game of some sort, watching these creatures run around and eat each other, with different behaviors and what not.

the creatures themselves are definitely very nicely put together. i think the procedural animations

(as i understand them) that you have are pretty cool.

one thing that surprised me going into this is how hard it is to actually aim your tongue at the prey. this definitely gives the game a bit of nice challenge in its current state.

Super cute game. I love the simple yet effective way of doing the walking animations. I don't really understand what's supposed to be erotic about this game, but I guess vore is just not my kink. Although the gameplay is quite frustrating, because critters that are large enough to eat you are also faster than you, so you don't really have a way to escape them (or is there?).

Quite the addictive little game. I find myself playing multiple rounds immediately after playing. The music was nice and made me bop a little. The animation was smooth and the overall art style was pleasant. The gameplay itself was really good. Although I found myself being food pretty much as soon as a larger creature decided to go for me, but that definitely made it very exciting to watch my own creature grow. ~

I will admit that, though I enjoy licking up little critters and feeling them squirm in my big macro mouth (and being the victim, too), I’m not into the digestive part of the process. The game describes the white fluids as cum, although in the absence of apparent genitals, it’s easy to interpret as feces. Though, it is nice to see them wiggle around in a cartoon holding belly. In a weird sense, I feel empathy for these helpless critters, and for me, who is also helpless against the big critters.

In terms of gameplay, the core is similar to “grow games” like Katamari, agar.io, and that ancient Flash game called “Tasty Planet.” For this game, the effort was placed in the presentation and visual style, which works well, and the animations are fluid. The main threat are creatures that are much bigger than you, but the main way to avoid them is to not be in their vision. The camera is zoomed in just enough where you only have a tiny bit of reaction time to prevent yourself from getting in the view of the big creatures. Unfortunately, once you are seen, there is no way to stop yourself from getting eaten. So there is not much strategy there, but it is still entertaining to try and become big in that limited framework.

It helps that the music is incredibly stimulating, and has been stuck in my head for a while after playing.

Absolutely adorable little eating and sclooshing game.  I amazed how you made such tangible little critters using almost nothing circles and a few ellipses.  It's pretty difficult too.  Sometimes it feels a little unfair when an enormous buddy comes from offscreen and locks onto me, because they move faster than me, so it's impossible to escape (this mostly happens from the top and bottom of the screen due to the aspect ratio).  Maybe having obstacles I could use to lose them, or some way of knowing when they're nearby but offscreen would have helped.  Not a big complaint though, life is unfair and sometimes you get eaten and there's nothing you can do about it.  I like the detail that the other ones will sometimes groove out when they're idle.

I like the flat shaded look of the game, it works really well with how animated the world is! The creatures are adorable and emotive with neatly rendered cross section views. I like the smooth zoom in and out transitions.

The music fits what you're doing well, but I think it could use an alternative track. It's also a bit loud by default, but the volume slider quickly fixes that. Some sound effects may add a bit of extra flavor.

The gameplay felt a bit left up to chance, I couldn't find a reliable strategy to get away after being targeted. Methods of defense and escape could spice up the play for both you and your prey.

I never managed to stay alive for long, but it was a cute and fun bit of action!

A simple and fun game! Other than the issues others commented (hard to eat smaller creatures, impossible to get away from larger creatures), I also think that zooming in to see the X-ray didn’t work very well, mainly because it makes you see less of your surroundings, making your creature even more vulnerable to larger ones. I dunno, maybe it’s supposed to be a risk-reward balance?

Cute, simple, fun. What more do you need out of a game jam game?

A fun little game about eating creatures and growing bigger. The art is incredibly simple yet cute, the creatures scampering around are a delight to see, specially paired with the music.

Sometimes it feels like creatures that I can't eat are juuuust small enough for me to gobble up but that's neither here nor there.

Also the music also features in one of my favorite horrible memes, it made me laugh, haha.

Over all, a very simple yet addictive game with cute creatures that match the gameplay's simplicty, many cute little critters running around, I like it!

This game was really great. I instantly fell in love with the little critters, and the art direction is fantastic.

The gameplay was good but very difficult as alot of the bigger being run so fast you really cant escape or plan around so walking into them is insta-gameover.

You can pet the critter, so that's an automatic 10/10.

Interesting take on the "big thing gathers up smaller things" genre, and the controls work pretty well. I found myself wishing for something like a dash ability, to get away from the big critters, but it was still fun as it was. Good job.

Also, thanks for including a Linux build!

it's cute but why are some of the nomfs just faster than you T^T i can't run if they try to eat me :<
