Nice work on the graphics and models! Would definitely want to see where you go with this.
Quite the amazing looking game. The models were such an awesome style and the general aesthetic was really pleasant. Wandering around the testing area, it seems the mechanics work pretty well. Im interested to see where this goes as its developed further
Judging this on what exists:
Art style the character models and scenery style are very cute and curvy. It feels pretty professional. Judging from the other games you've released, it seems pretty on point for what you do. Good stuff.
Controls are also very tight and responsive feeling. Platforming feels good. Though it's hard to tell exactly what I think of gunplay because there's no targets. Do the bullets come from the camera, or the gun? That matters a lot. I also would accept any sort of feedback on hitting scenery (i.e. sparks or bullet decals for hitting geo)
Also, no way to zoom the camera in and out. I'd like to be able to do that a little bit with the scroll wheel, either to examine cute character models or get a better view of the area.
Story seems good, and the intro cutscene feels neat and has some drama to it. I am rather baffled from the fact I'm given duel guns but the test area only lets me fire one? Wouldn't be easier to animate the usage of two guns instead of dealing with an arm clipping through the chest?
Sound wise ; The music didn't *quite* feel like it fit the rest of the aesthetics, but the choice of SFX did. Though the SFX was a bit shrill.
All and all, neat demo. If you could deliver on the full game or a more complete public-intended demo, I'd give it a shot.
First time I played I jumped over the portal and ended up like 400 feet above it and softlocked. 2nd time I jumped out a window and softlocked. But maybe I am a little silly testing a demo so hard. Very normal video game story, wonder if the other shoe will drop, like in Anodyne 2.
Intriguing! I definitely like the tech that's being demoed here, and the visual style is very promising.
Okay first of all, this looks absolutely incredible. The models and environment are excellent. I can see this turning into something really fun once actual combat gets implemented.
I started having some massive framerate problems, starting a few seconds after arriving at the pool and slowly getting worse, to the point where even getting through a conversation was difficult. For some reason, it completely fixed itself after Capricorn gave me the guns. Something to do with the portal, perhaps?
I also learned an important lesson from this game: Don't jump in outer space.
I love the art style! It's very pretty, and the minimalistic models are great. I was a bit too curious about the map and found a way to fall off the open windows with no way to restart, but it's a small issue for a demo. I was not expecting to get guns in the story given how fantasy-like the game felt, but it's an interesting surprise.
I'll have reiterate what's already been said that this is a seriously pretty demo. It's a shame there wasn't more real gameplay to go off of, but the visuals alone are enough to pique my interest as to this projects future. Best of luck developing it further!
Love these models and designs!
Cool concept, the soft lock at the beginning is a problem, but its got a unique design and potential
It's definitely got a lot of the vibes of Oni Bath House, but in an action themed format. The 3D art is gorgeous once again and the intro sequence is both interactive and cinematic which is very neat to see! Unintrusive dialogue boxes and font choices match the mood well.
Audio design felt right, the music set a properly mysteriously mischievous mood and there were sound effects for everything I'd expect to have them.
In a game like this one, running should be the default movement to free up a finger. The slow strut is a really sexy animation, so perhaps there could be a gameplay effect to give players a reason to slow down.
You have a real talent for creating visually immersive 3D worlds. What a beautiful first demo!
This looks great. I'm looking forward to seeing what it turns into!
Absolutely love the models, will look forward to see it developed into a full game. Small nitpick but in the intro section before entering the portal if you jump you kinda... Never fall down.
Love the art style, pity there wasnt more content to actually try out.
For what its worth, jumping in the void zone just goes on forever, and its pretty easy to jump out of the castle windows to nothingness.
The art style is amazing! I love the shading and the character work, not to mention how appealing they all are with such limited garments.
It's very light in content, more of a demo for a potential game, but the potential game this looks like it comes from sounds awesome. The premise for the story is quite a good hook, and seeing something so polished just gets me excited to see if this gets developed further, or if it leads to another bigger project by SatyrKing. Consider me a fan!
I feel like the music and sound volumes were a bit all over the place, some bits quieter than others, but not by too much. The quality of them itself is great, and fits in with the vibe of the place really well.
I really wish time had allowed for some of the combat to be implemented, sadly that will be left to imagination for now. Otherwise, this is a damn impressive demo with beautiful, polished graphics and shader work that really inspired me to play around with shaders more, bravo!
love the artstyle
and casual nudity and sex is like, my fav thing so
Good character and sound design, a really cool graphic style that looks minimalistic without looking cheap and the beginning of a story that seems quite intriguing to me. Too bad that there isn't really a lot of "game" yet. But I think there is definitely a lot of potential here.
