Great art. Only wish there were sound effects when shooting fireballs and hitting objects. Auto fire with the space-bar would also be nice. Having the boss switch to trailing behind you after a while was something I hadn't seen before, so that was cool as well.

Thank you so much for the feedback, yes the game needs some polish on the feedback parte for sure!

The art is amazing. I love the canyon effect you were able to pull off. I was able to beat it and oh man was it tough at the end. Re-spawning in the boss fight was a bit strange, sometimes the boss would show up and the fight would start again right away. Other times, I flew around for like 30 sec before it showed up.  I really think that this game needs auto fire. My hand was starting to cramp from mashing space for so long, especially in the second phase of the boss. But overall I really liked it, great work.

Thanks so much  for the comment man! We are aware of that boss timer bug ahahah it's pretty strange ye, we were thinking about making  the game mobile so ye an auto fire and upgrades will be cool implementations.

Nice use of ASCII art with the dragon, fireballs and the canyon(?)! The gameplay felt too unresponsive for my tastes. The game requires some precise movements so the movement should be more snappy. It was particularly troublesome because I tried to dodge everything which felt impossible in the second level. Only after I quit and came to comment I found out you can use spacebar - up to that point I thought you couldn't shoot. With this information I was able to beat the game with very little trouble. So it would be nice if the game told you the controls. In the end, I'd say this could be a pretty fun game with more fluid movement!

Developer

Thank you so much for the deep feedback. Yes, We think the game needs a lot of commands and visive feedbacks too.

The gameplay is a bit boring for me. The graphics make good use of the ascii art. Really like the fireballs. Didn't defeat the boss, mainly due to not being able to pause and kid needed attention.

Thanks for the feedback!

This was really fun! Love the background. I'm terrible at bullet hell games, so I wasn't able to get past the witch on the second level haha! But it looks great, plays well. Good work. :)

Thank you so much!

Good job, you two! I love the visuals; I would have never thought to apply depth-of-field to ASCII character. I think there needs to be more contrast though, the greys blend together a lot. As for gameplay, as another comment said, there should be more feedback regarding shooting obstacles. It's a pretty simplistic Galaga-type game, I feel, but it is a great avenue to display this unique visual flair.

Developer

Thank you so much for the feedback! We agree completely in the in-game feedbacks problem and we are planning on continue to work in the project to release It on mobile!

Love the asethetics/visual style. There are some nice details like the use of ' for debris when you break those barrier.

Could use some feedback when shooting stuff. Initially I thought the obstacles were unbreakable and I just had to avoid them before realising they died after several hits. Also I think the hitboxes could be a bit more generous to the player when squeezing through narrow gaps.

Overall, I think this has great potential.

Thank you so much for the feedback man!

Yes you are completely right on these feedbacks, maybe we didn't focus enough on the polishing and testing, AS ALWAYS! ahahah

Play with WASD and Space bar!
