Thanks for participating!

The game itself had a great concept and used the theme pretty well!

I lost my torch almost immediately and couldn't pick it back up so I think a little ray interactor to pick up objects from a distance would have helped!

I heard a phone buzzing but couldn't find it!

Good job overall!

Interesting approach to make ghosts exist only in character's imagination!

I could not find the buzzing phone. The house felt a little bit empty but overall it's a nice maze that fits the theme very well 👏🏻

Had a fun time with this one, great work!

I like the direction you were taking this game. I think the concept of not having anything real that could harm you and your imagination is what you're really afraid of in the dark. There were a few things that I did struggle with.

Some Notes:

  • The start menu was pretty difficult to get going.
  • You may also want to consider making something like the flashlight to be 'sticky' when  you pick it up so the player doesn't have to constantly hold down the button.
  • Full body rigs are great, but I don't know if implementing one was entirely needed for this experience.
  • Leaving players with accessibility options such as smooth vs snap turn can help a ton.

Overall, I think this game has a good foundation. The audio design and setting were definitely creepy.

Thanks for a great submission!

Wasn't entirely sure what I was meant to do in this game - I started on the top a house, then fell off, then walked around the environment.

Kudos for getting a full body rig in there - however, I was playing seated, so it was fun to see my legs dragging across the floor, that was kinda spooky in itself!

I had a lot of trouble starting the game? I retried twice with the 1.1 version and then I switched to the 1.0 version and just stood at the start menu and it finally started. Same feedback as beard or die in regards to the enemies not hurting you and the sound effects. But I made it out of the  house alive!

Very nice game.  It seemed that there were not a lot of colliders - I was able to pass through various props and walls.  I liked the full body avatar.  I also wish there were more objects through out the house with effects tied to them but I understand there was little time to add those extras in.  Very well done.

I escaped. Nice labyrinth of rooms. Here's some constructive feedback:

  • The biggest thing for me is that you have the turn speed as smooth, while I need an instant snap turn for my VR stomach. At least it's not too fast, so I didn't get super sick.
  • I didn't know at first that I needed the to use the trigger (and?) grab button to open doors.
  • I play seated, and the VR avatar (which is nice to have a full body avatar) doesn't have any calibration available to play correctly while seated. So the avatar's legs are hilariously just sliding sideways beneath me.
  • It seems only the flashlight and door handles are interactable. It would be nice if you added an indicator/"affordance" to let the player know which objects are interactable at a distance, so they don't have to walk up to every little thing just to see if they are a static object or not.
  • The house noises seem to be randomly occurring, with no spatialization. So there's doors supposedly closing/opening but I don't think those are actually happening in-game. There's supposedly a cell phone buzzing somewhere but nowhere to be found in the house. If it is in the house, having the buzz be spatialized would help the player be able to find it.
  • The ghosts/spirits don't seem to pose any threat.
  • Very disappointed that the fridge is not openable. I'm hungry.  :)

Oh thank you for the feedback !

I agree some settings would be welcome, but really didn't had any time. I lose a lot of time on the avatar because I wanted a cool rendering with Mirrors but It was a pain and give that buggy leg if you are playing seated x)

All books, toys are interactible, I will think about the fridge next time haha

The sound is random to cause a stress effect and increase the fear, but there is nothing happening.

Ghost are just here to cause screamer, but we didn't want any threat. The fear of darkness is mostly caused by the imagination and create hallucination. That's what we wanted to make with these ghost. If you light them, they should disappear cause they are only your imagination.

We tried to make a concept game but had very little time to dedicate, I had more things I would like to implement but timing is important.

Thanks for taking time playing our game ! :)
