I love this theme! It reminds me of Esto Gaza somehow.
I would love to work with you in the future, you make beautiful and atmospheric music.
Thanks, flattered that it inspires you this theme and that you like my music! I didn't remember this one in FFIX (though I played it). I'm not closed to a collaboration in the future.
Nice job at creating a serene soundscape for your composition to sit on! Definitely created a peaceful town vibe!
Thank you!
Oh, I almost missed your music. Nick has already pointed it out to you, I see. Without a file, you weren't on my "unrated" list.
It's really good. I like the use of panning at the beginning, which is a bit disorienting (in a good way) and takes us on an immediate journey. Then I'll say again what's been said, it's soft, it's calm, it fits the theme well. Congratulations.
I'm really confused by this situation, it's the first time I've taken part in this kind of event. I'm going to familiarize myself and not make this mistake again.
Your feedback, like the others, confirms my initial intention. Glad you liked it!
Nice entry! I like the softness of the song, and the steamy sounds help reinforce the theme. The quality is great too. Well done :D
One general note though: I would suggest you to upload an .mp3 file of sorts next time, as entries without submission are not considered when looking for "submissions in need of ratings". It almost prevented me from seeing and rating your entry! And besides, without .mp3 I cannot add this song to my iTunes for regular listening (and I am tired of sketchy online converters) :)
Thanks for your feedback! And I take note of this problem. I posted my project during the extra hour on the last day, it must have been forgotten in the rush.
My bad!
No worries! This time I downloaded it anyway ;)
I think I can add the track to my project after the competition is over. Maybe on discord if that's ok?
Don't worry! I downloaded it anyway this time :)
I really like the two chords you alternate between - they give a floaty feeling that is enhanced by the rising bell arpeggio. The ambience and the panning really help with the immersiveness of the song and do help transport my mind to the town you created. I also am noticing how well-written the choral pads are on my second listen through. I especially like that you give them space to allow the reverb to die a little before the next chord. Overall great work and thank you for sharing!
Thank you for your detailed feedback.
I'm glad it got you in the mood.
I've been trying to work on the panning and gain so that it breathes a little.
For ambient sounds such as waves, geysers, bubbling... a kettle, a bicycle pump and white noise were used.
All other sounds are emulated from a CS-80 synthesizer.
My idea was to create an atmosphere of vaporous convivial Atlantis with a touch of melancholy, from which the traveler/visitor emerges similar to a dream.
Did I really go there?
Maybe
Very calm music, close your eyes and you’re in the town! Well done
Thank you!
Glad to have made you travel, objective achieved!
Very calming, good song!
Fun fact: I like to draw while listening to the submissions, it was very nice to hear yours while drawing.
Thanks for your feedback!
I'm glad it can help you with your drawing sessions.
