I really found the repeated use of the the theme in literal dialogue to be charming as hell. Nice job!

I really regret that I don't know French well enough to be able to read it in its original version. Even in the English version, the characters are pretty strong, personality-wise, and I really wish that I could experience them to their fullest. Either way, good job, I liked the way things got slowly revealed one by one in flashback sequences, and the way in which you went around showing emotions of sprites was quite a clever solution. In the end, really nice! If I ever finally learn French, this will be one of the first things I'll come back to

Great job! I really loved getting the explanation on how God got his name. I also like how many endings were possible, and how distinct the characters are! I'm also a big fan of how there's the bar showing how the choices impact the endings, as well as the emojis indicating facial expressions. I know you mentioned concerns about your English, but I enjoyed the writing and recognized some of the French idioms/expressions translted over to English, so that was fun for me! Well done!

Don’t be so down on yourself about your English- before I read your notes I was already heading to the comment box to talk about how everyone is bursting with personality! I’m sure the writing is even sharper in French, but I still had a damn good time. Bravo!

I m glad you enjoyed the game!

So far, I've had a lot of fun testing the entries of your jam, thank you for organizing it!

Oupsy/Bug : There is a short post credit scene... But you have to wait 30s for the arrow to the next line to appear during the credit. Sorry... I imagine most people who already played the game cut it as nothing was happening... That's not that important, but...

I love the way that you coded this game and the unique usage of the choices showing the direct impact of the game, and how overall every choice truly does have an impact! This along with the variety of endings is something I truly love in games, and I think it's a nice touch for you to be able and see how many endings you are missing/need in the menu. I think that although there is words stating the flashback time, that maybe slower transitions could help with making the transition from the present day  to the past a bit better? Aside from that, I think my favorite part was God explaining his name lol! Awesome job :3

Thank you for playing the game!

I will definitely try to slow down the transitions!

This was such an immersive game! The atmosphere set with the visuals, ui, and sound just pull everything together in such a lovely manner. While I do agree some segments are a bit jarring in terms of endings/what was translated over, overall I actually really liked the writing and am super impressed with the translations in the prose and dialogue. Gabriel truly is the best, lollll. >:33

Thank you for playing the game!

I'll try to improve it... but writing is harder to improve than code; ^^

I really enjoyed the strength of comedy in some of the lines of this game, truly had me laughing and saying aloud "that's brilliant!"

I was very intrigued by the characters!

I echo the sentiment of the narrative being a little hard to follow, but assume as English readers we aren't getting the authentic experience 😉

Thank you for playing the game!

There is a problem in the narrative, even in French. Writing is hard, in every language. ^^

I like the setting and atmosphere of it this, but I also had a bit of a hard time following! I think the flashbacks being told in a linear order might have helped make the narrative stronger and easier to understand.

Oh, and I also liked how the character expression were done, I thought having the little icon on the side was cute!

Thank you very much for playing the game!

And yes, there definitely is a problem to solve with the narrative flow.

I am so deeply inspired by the types of choices A Peaceful Wedding asks you to make. Choice architecture is so often overlooked, and A Peaceful Wedding lets its flashbacks frame the choices presented in such interesting ways — totally novel not just to this jam but to my experience with interactive fiction. It has strong character voices and some absolute top-notch banter. Moments like asking Gabriel to take off his sunglasses in the church made me laugh out loud.

I had some trouble following what was going on at times but it was all so dramatic and fun that I honetly didn’t mind. I liked how unique the visuals were as well!

Thank you very much for playing the game!

I  realised that the jumps from one scene to another were too quick at the end... But I preferred to leave it like that for the jam rather than rush into making bad patches. (And if there are any moments in particular that you found confusing, or any ideas for improvement, please, tell me!).
