I was so invested in the story for this one! The setting and the characters felt very three dimensional without there being too much lore to keep up with. Very beautiful and gripping <3 Also loved the sea-themed GUI and menu!!

Developer

Thank you! I honestly always have a lot of fun designing the GUI, and I'm glad people seem to like this one!

LOVE seeing another game based around the sea <3

this game felt like a familiar tale and a new adventure all at once, i was so charmed by how well each character had chemistry of some kind with one another and it was a real romp to pick around and find the different clues about them as the story went on and how different responses gave unique perspectives from the same character; really showed thought into the relationship's development and how the characters are as people!! i loved looking at every piece of this VN. fantastic work!!

Yes, fellow sea theme gang! Thank you for playing and I'm glad you enjoyed the character dynamics!

[Spoilers ahead] Oh wow, I do love myself a somewhat retelling of Little Mermaid with a good old punch of queerness. I don't have a lot to say, I just hope the two of them will sail together without any incidents in the future. Can't wait to see the after jam version!

Developer

The Little Mermaid is just the most Queer Fairytale there is LOL I'm glad you enjoyed and I'm excited to share the more finished version when voting is over!

I'm obsessed with the way you designed the backgrounds and GUI! So many aspects really brought me into the world created, including the music chosen. The plot twist at the end was something I could have never predicted, yet still works so well! Such an impressive game and project , and all within 10 days!

Developer

Thank you!! Drawing backgrounds digitally is still something I'm learning, so it's nice to hear that you liked their design!

Super interesting think piece! The choices offered really added to the cinematic stylings of the narration, and the different nature of the characters made each interaction have some sort of thoughtful takeaway every time. The variables affecting little pieces of flavor text is always a touch I enjoy in these games, not to mention I'm a sucker for that choice button patterning! ("7")

Developer

I'm glad you enjoyed it! And I love making variables affect flavor text (especially persistent variables)! It's a touch I enjoy in other games, so I always try to add it to my own!

Where the Sea Foam Fades does an excellent job at teasing its revelation and escalating the tension of not knowing very well. I don’t think I’ve ever complimented a game for its name before, or at least for the way Where the Sea Foam Fades introduces new meaning at the end. It’s really clever and evocative!

Developer

Thank you sm for the comment and I'm glad you enjoyed!

I liked the sound design.

Ambrose is a bit to clean for someone just out of the sea. I mean, his shirt could be a little torn :)

Developer

Thank you for playing! And that's fair! I honestly just ripped off the costuming from Pirates of the Caribbean when it came to outfitting lol
