Thank you! It should be fixed now

Thank you! I honestly always have a lot of fun designing the GUI, and I'm glad people seem to like this one!

Yes, fellow sea theme gang! Thank you for playing and I'm glad you enjoyed the character dynamics!

Titan Arum had remained my favorite game from you guys because I was obsessed with the vibes, but I think this is my new favorite. I loved the atmosphere, the story, the impending doom, the horror elements, literally everything. The item search mini game was also a lot of fun, although it genuinely stressed me out LOL Another great game from you guys!!

I really liked how colorful everything was and the alien was so sweet!

Dokura, skeleton boy my beloved!! This was so fun and goofy, I had a great time with it! I also concur with the comment below me, Vee route when? I barely met her but I love her already

I adored the atmosphere in this! It was such an interesting retelling of Swan Lake and I liked being inside Odile's mind! This is also a random note, but I really enjoyed how the main menu screen was set up as well, the way the image moved and the simple colors just made it really nice. There was one error message I got during the conversation with Odette and sometimes text didn't fit in the textbox, but other than that, it was a really nice game!

I only managed to get 3 of the 5 endings but I loved all the variations in this game and the different directions it could go! Also the text bubbles was such a neat feature and I really liked the look of it. The whole thing was just well put together and enjoyable to play!

I always love how every single game you've made for these jams feels like a fever dream/nightmare! I really liked the narrative of this one, and how unsettling it all was! It fit the theme so well, and I liked how the choices were layered and led in different directions too!

I definitely felt uneasy the whole time playing this, and I felt awful for MC having to deal with such a toxic friend group (Raid Leader alone was A Lot, but pretty much everyone in the guild sucked). I really liked how the tension escalated throughout the game as well. There were technical issues (the preference menu was broken and there was something else in game, although I'm not sure it led to) but other than that I had a great time with this!

It took just over two weeks but I'm finally feeling better, thank you! And yeah, I definitely felt that during the first few Velox jams I did. I had a dozen tabs open for basic Ren'py tutorials just in case I forget lol It takes time, but I'm glad I've kept at it and that I'm at the stage where I'm starting to feel comfortable with it!

Askfajld I got sick for Formido AND O2A2 and now this one. At this point it's more comedy than tragedy xD I do work in healthcare (pediatrics specifically so children), so getting sick is expected lol but I'm happy I submitted too! And yes, the post jam update will include extended scenes and endings, as well as the CGs!

This jam would have been smooth sailing if I didn't get a chest infection on day three LMAO (every game jam I've done this year has been cursed).

Honestly, since I got pretty sick I obviously couldn't get everything done that I wanted to (hence JAM EDITION), which I'm fine with now but I almost didn't submit because I was so caught up in everything I couldn't do falkjfala. I condensed the scrip a lot, ripped out an entire ending, and obviously had no time to do the CGs I wanted, and since it was so far from the vision in my head because of this, I thought that meant it was Bad(tm). After not touching it since I threw it on itch though, I am over my perfectionism and I'm honestly pretty happy that I managed to do anything at all considering the state I was in.

This is also such a fun jam to reflect on because it has been an entire year of doing Velox jams (+ September it will be 2 years since I first started releasing games)! And honestly, I really felt how much more comfortable I am with Ren'py now when compared to last year! I wasn't constantly looking up or reminding myself how to do basic things, I just knew how to do it. Like wow, finally, I know Ren'py coding 101! It's also made me more confident and willing to look into doing more complicated things for my long term project! I'm not sure how obvious my improvement is from the outside since I think I'm a pretty slow learner with things compared to others, but I can certainly feel it, and it's been nice to see.

As for the entries, I've had so much fun playing through them as always! It's always so fun to see all the different things people do with the theme and I've genuinely loved a decent chunk I've played. I'm hoping to marathon the remaining entries today and I'm excited to get through all of them! :>

The Little Mermaid is just the most Queer Fairytale there is LOL I'm glad you enjoyed and I'm excited to share the more finished version when voting is over!

This is such a funny response flakjfa thank you for playing!!

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed!

I definitely like the foundations and setting laid out here overall! I do agree with the other comments that the narration could use some fleshing out, and I especially would have liked the endings to be fleshed out more. However, it's solid for a first game and I do hope to see more from you!

This was so lovely, and it made me tear up! I love the emotions portrayed in this, and the voice actor for Than really added to the overall emotions in the game! The little note hidden in the game files was a fun touch as well, even if the scene it unlocked was heartbreaking

Thank you!! Drawing backgrounds digitally is still something I'm learning, so it's nice to hear that you liked their design!

Obsessed with the GUI in this, it's so simple but so nice to look at. I also really like these two characters and their dynamic with each other and I'd be so down to play more in this universe!

I loved the way the GUI was designed in this it was super pretty! I also really enjoyed how the game felt both cozy and melancholic + it's always nice to play something with older characters!

I'm glad you enjoyed it! And I love making variables affect flavor text (especially persistent variables)! It's a touch I enjoy in other games, so I always try to add it to my own!

The build up? The atmosphere? The reveals? All fantastic, I was immediately drawn in. I'm honestly so intrigued by the world here and these two characters, I had such a great time with it!

Thank you sm for the comment and I'm glad you enjoyed!

I liked this! It was simple and sweet and I liked all the little branching for the different endings!

I'm absolutely obsessed with this actually. What a wild ride

I like the setting and atmosphere of it this, but I also had a bit of a hard time following! I think the flashbacks being told in a linear order might have helped make the narrative stronger and easier to understand.

Oh, and I also liked how the character expression were done, I thought having the little icon on the side was cute!

Ooh, this really left me curious about the situation at play in this game, and how the dynamic would change with MC and this new "James"!

I have never hated a fictional mom more. You really nailed the feeling of discomfort in this game, as well as the general awfulness of being in this situation

The voice acting in this was really great! All the voice actors really cemented the characters personalities for me! (Also as a kingdom hearts fan I want to guess and say that Lexa = Axel, Nyx = Xion, and Max = Roxas for who each character was based on).

Woah, I loved this. The music and art really added a lot to the overall atmosphere and the writing style was fantastic!

Thank you for playing! And that's fair! I honestly just ripped off the costuming from Pirates of the Caribbean when it came to outfitting lol

I'm glad you enjoyed!! I had a lot of fun designing this one too!

It might have been? I just went ahead and completely redid the variables, so hopefully it triggers correctly for everyone now!

Thank you! Hopefully I can figure this out either tonight or tomorrow for yall!

I've been trying to replicate this issue all weekend to fix it because I know a few players get it and others don't, but I haven't managed to trigger it, so I don't know what's causing it.

Do you remember the last few choices you picked before you reached this passage?

Thanks for the report, the choice should be fixed now!

Thank you! These all should be fixed now!

Also Zoe exclusively uses they/them pronouns!

And thank you and Allie Vera for once more hosting!!

I'm glad it gave you a nostalgic feeling, I wanted it to feel like these old 2000s flash games I used to play as a kid actually!
