Dokuro is my new best friend!! I busted out laughing at the naked distraction the most but I found myself cracking up quite a bit in general- though never so much that it overrode the more emotional beats. Don’t feel any obligation to this project, but if you decide to keep rolling with it, I think there’s a lot to explore- there’s so much promise here!

I was really captivated by the unique personalities and takes each character had on the MC's situation at hand, and the setups for jokes felt natural in both the setting and the story as this takes a more light-hearted view on the theme and incorporates it in a playful way to everyone involved. Loved both the bright colors and dark tones in use, such an eye-catching work!! There's a personal touch to every aspect in this game and it feels like a fun adventure with a friend.
The whole thing is quite intriguing and I can't deny that Dokuro's design is pretty damn cool. There's clearly a big world here that has a lot of potential, and for a game made in one night, it's pretty good!
However, I need to say that the warning for "suicide mentions" doesn't really feel enough for me, considering how big of a part it ultimately plays here. When a character is actively talking about how they don't want to go back to the world of living and the opening scene is, in a way, musings of a suicidal person, it does go a bit beyond that.
Dokura, skeleton boy my beloved!! This was so fun and goofy, I had a great time with it! I also concur with the comment below me, Vee route when? I barely met her but I love her already
All the visual elements in My Escape to Hell (BGs, GUI, sprites) cohere extraordinarily well, and of course special mention must go to the sprite work. I was expecting to be able to follow a path with Vee or the Cosmodeus, but Dokuro’s banter is sharp enough that I didn’t miss the others once his path got rolling. Light and morbid is always a good combination, and My Escape to Hell very much delivers on that front.
I really loved the 3 characters art style! But you really draw them + wrote the story in one night???
An idea : When the 3 characters are on screen, it would be easier to remember their names from start if it was written below them when they speak and not always on the left. The dialogues may also look like a bit more dynamic? (But I've never used ren'py, don't know if it's easy to tweak or not)
I wrote and finished all art the night before, I began working on ideas at the beginning of the jam! Time got away from me and I had to squish all the actual work in one night ;-;

You're insane for pushing out as much as you did in such a short span of time. The comedy is great and really sells the dysfunctional friendgroup vibes perfectly! Dokoro, lovely Dokoro, the naked distraction gag was hilarious. I gotta respect those FNAF and Sally Face posters as well. UuU
This was so fucking funny, just peak comedic writing! Very fun premise and I honestly got really attached to Dokuro, they’re such a sweetheart <3 And you made this in like a day??? That’s crazy… I really loved this!
I absolutely think you should add some screenshots to the game page btw!
