This was absolutely spectacular! I really like a VN that focuses so heavily on atmosphere and this one executed it perfectly. The blue visuals, the simplistic GUI, and especially the sound and SFX! So well written, the reveals chilled me to the bone. Wonderful job!

Oh, I really liked this one. The relationship, the reveals, the ambient sound, that shade of blue that'll probably haunt my dreams. Really solid work done there.

I loved so many of the visual and audio choices for this VN.; it was both sparing and vaguely hostile, matching the escalating enmity as the story went on. Great job!!

This was a super cool experience. I loved how cohesive it all was, and with that blue palette especially!

I got heavily invested in the story and characters, and played this over and over again to make sure I truly got everything from it. The choice of strictly dialogue and the way both characters communicate is so interesting, and seeing the somewhat spiral and history of the two of them and where they are now was such a rollercoaster in the best way. Aside from story I think the choices made aesthetically were amazing and fitting.

The build up? The atmosphere? The reveals? All fantastic, I was immediately drawn in. I'm honestly so intrigued by the world here and these two characters, I had such a great time with it!

Wow.... just, wow... The first title drop was gasp inducing and each element just builds the atmosphere and setting of the game brick by brick. The dialogue is punchy and so genuine, it really shows off the effectiveness and stories that NVL can accomplish! *O*

under the lighthouse leans decisively into its strengths — that clarity of intent lends a lot of weight to the piece. The strength of its almost-ultraviolet, thoroughly electronic aesthetic, and the uncompromising commitment to demanding the player learn about the world exclusively through the filter of Liv’s perspective are both exemplars of this game’s tight focus. I also want to note that, in thematic tandem with the game, the itch page has links to the sites referenced in the story. It’s an absolutely brilliant touch that demands I dwell on it outside of my time playing it.

Appreciate and delighted hearing this gave such a strong impression, and very tickled to have you take care to check out those little links. Thank so much for taking time to play and write this out!!

literally my pleasure : )

This was really great! I adored the setting and getting to learn more about the main characters. The atmosphere was very well done. I felt so engrossed throughout the whole thing that I jumped at some of the surprises that came up in their discussion.

Knowing you got immersed is one of the highest compliments for me to hear!! :) Thank you so very much for playing!

GREAT aesthetic, and the ambient sound effect usage is really cool! The writing captures the initial awkwardness of the reunion and the underlying (and eventually overt) anger between them. Pairing NVL presentation with a dialogue-only narrative was an interesting choice that works really well for characterizing the relationship between the MC and Liv.

Always a treat to hear thoughts about how certain decisions turned out :D quite happy with how the dialogue-only writing was noticed! Thank you so much for playing!!
