i honestly screeched reading the first line of this!! i found i couldn't help feeling so happy n giddy throughout the entire read. there's a lot of heart (and bravery...) to have such a shameless MC that i felt myself in Diante's reactions, but can't help feeling so endeared as each customer came through the store.  what a great subversion on the gameplay as well for the later customers!! definitely one of the most charming VNs here - seeing Diante lounging makes me smile :) the true ending auUUGH YES... YES. loved this

thank you! I'm glad you like the true ending!! I had so much fun writing it~

CornerBooks knows how to carry a running gag in a way I have not seen a VN do. The initial choice between the three fics is extremely funny and in itself an excellent punchline, but the extent to which that choice is referenced throughout the game is both narratively fulfilling and extremely funny. It makes the player feel like they're participating in the joke, and it elevates the comedy as a result.

Developer

Aww thank you! I'm glad you enjoy the little quips ^-^

This was a really cute story! And I got Diante to read the onceler self-cest so big win for me! Might come back to try the bad ending~

Developer

Thanks for playing, and good job!! Our onceler self-cest good ending is Diante's personal bad ending haha <3

Diante I'm sorry but you WILL read Beatles RPF. It is your destiny.

This was really fun to play through! I enjoyed getting to match people with their perfect books (though I was NOT perfect at it... sorry little girl). And really, who hasn't been a little late to something because they were caught up in a good fic? The #realism...

Developer

Thanks for playing! Diante's the number one McLennon fan, they just don't know it yet, haha

This is soooo cute! I love the cast of characters that stumble into the bookshop! Even though you meet them for a brief moment, you immediately pick up on what kind of character they are! I got the Onceler Self-cest end on the second try, and that was such a cute ending!!!

Developer

Thank you!! I'm glad you had fun with the characters, and I hope you got to live your onceler self-cest dreams haha

Great opening line!  The backgrounds are incredible.  I was super bad at suggesting the right book, and I ended up closing the window in embarrassment due to my failure.  I might return to this when I feel less ashamed lol.

Developer

Thanks for giving it a try! The choices are meant to be difficult, so no need to be embarrassed! Hopefully even the bad endings are a bit fun ^-^

I'll make a guide to the different endings in the near future, and I'll be sure to let the background artist know you liked it~

Didn't know a game about recommending books could be this fun. And there is that grandma....

I'm glad you had fun! Working at a library has unfortunately taught me that some old ladies really are just like That

bye why was this game so mecore mepilled memaxxing…? zootopia x reader smut was my fav fanfic to go with and yes of course i have read the zootopia abortion comic. i think the elaborate literary description for all three fanfic genres were so clever and well done, i was tickled pink going through and reading those :D gameplay wise, i was really sweating trying to puzzle together which book was good for who…and let’s just say me and the back button got to know each other quite well >_<

i really liked the conversation with diante at the end if you do well; i thought it was so sweet! fanfiction to me is a love letter in the end, so i hope more people can also come to love fanfic. and being moved to write something because your friend got it stuck in your head, in a way, is a love language too – love to the point of creation. using this as a reference, i think i will finally get my friend to read this amazing parkour civilization smut fic! ^_^

Developer(+1)

why am i the only one here who hasn't read the actual abortion comic dflkjlkgjlk

I'm glad you like the ending conversation with Diante! I think gaining second hand knowledge of something your friend loves is so special actually, truly one of the many joys of friendship. Best of luck with getting your friend to read the smut fic! I believe in you :D

Hmmm... seems like there's some true to life inspiration in here... Why am I also an avid reader of said infamous reproductive rights turned JFK reference zootopia comic? But that aside, what fun gameplay! I especially love the challenge added by only getting a limited number of shots to sus out what works and what doesn't. Gotta say, my favorite characters hands down are smut granny and mrimgonnacrapmyselfthatwashilarious.  Gave me a good laugh! >D<

Developer

I actually haven't read the entire zootopia comic, so imagine my surprise when my friends started a debate about it because of the reference i included and someone mentioned the JFK scene lmao. I'm glad you like the game! Granny seems to be a fan favorite hehe
