Great game and a very nice art style. It was challenging, but kept me engaged all of the way through.

Cool shoot-em up game. I really love the art-style. Reminds me of the Kurzgesagt youtube channels style. For me personally the bullet-hell aspects were a bit too extreme. It didn't feel very skill heavy to hit the enemies, there were just too many and their movement was too jerky for me. I ended up just trying to race from astroid-field to astroid-field and hope to get some missiles and shields (if I didn't make it, there was practically no way to finish the enemies). I love that my shots hone in on the enemy, with them being so many, I wonder if they need that feature though. Also having some  indication as to how damaged the opponents are would be great.

Here is what I would try in terms of gameplay and see how that feels:

  • Fewer opponents so things get a bit more clear and you can feel good about actually dodging their bullets and hitting them. (Now it feels more like luck when there are many of them)
  • Same number of opponents but making them much easier to kill. Now I needed to hit them so often, it wasn't really possible for me to focus any one of them down, before there were just a hand full left.

All in all a really nice entry though. Props to you!

Really great game, pretty well polished. Only thing I would change is that enemies are too powerful. Good thing that you can hide in asteroids. Would love to have my game rated by you as well!

Really nice art style/animations and the mechanics are super smooth! I also feel like the distance of the distress call is a bit too far though

Nice shoting game, collectables maybe could increase more quick the fill circle to use the powerups, is really difficult to shoot at returning earth to the increase amount of enemies.

Maybe misile could damage several enemies.

the distance to the distress call feels really far, and maybe the there and back theme is not having the importance that it deserves, maybe could be several calls, and more close to earth, so you can save more astronauts.

Love the art, the effects and animations.

Thank you for the feedback. Missiles that damage multiple enemies is a good idea and I'll experiment with it for  a post jam version.

Really cute art! Even with the fast passed movement you managed to make sure the player still feels in control and doesn't randomly get hit by stuff. Very impressive controls! Great Work!
