The art style fits well with the atmosphere, it was intriguing connecting all the memories. "What was she doing before the bus got there" "What did she do after getting to the river underneath the bridge" "Who even is this person". Even after beating the game I still was curious lol.. Wondering if I accidentally skipped a part by guessing the first passcode "1311". Not sure what else to suggest other that the speed could use some adjustments. Sorry if I wasn't able to add much, but it was a very fun playthrough. Good luck in the jam! :)
Thanks so much, that's really nice to know!! it really is a bad password lol... and sorry for the extremely vague plot! I am enjoying all the theories though c:
... and yeah, the walk speed seems to be a common issue haha
Good luck to you too! I'll check out your game as well c:
The atmosphere and storytelling are very interesting in this one. I think I got the story but wasn't entirely sure if I'm correct or not, I did get to the river underneath the bridge part. Very cool way to tell a story, really liked this one!
Thank you so much! and yeah thats the end c:
nice
thank you!
Thank you for reviewing my game, I have come to return the favor on your submission.
This is one of the better games in the jam for sure. Atmosphere is really strong and leans on a narrative design. It reminded me of old detective games where you have to piece things together. I wasn't sure if I finished it, I got under the bridge, but then snapped back to the beginning, so I hope I finished it.
I do feel like the character should move much faster, as I am traversing the same map over and over the walk speed really dragged it out.
I rated you highly on the Art, Music and theme limitation. You're clearly quite talented and I've followed you and look forward to seeing more 👍
That means so much to me thank you!!
And yes you finished it! :)
I see what you mean with the walk speed, I think I was trying to make sure people didn't rush to collect each memory, but it might of dragged on too much... I will definitely fix that if I ever come back to this project c:
Very Very Cool. I love this concept and style. I want to see this as a TV show. Haha. Super impressive.
Thank you so much! (I'll let you know when the show comes out haha)
Really liked the mood and art style!
I wandered for a while and eventually ran out of options. Not sure whether I got to the ending. Somebody drowned or will drown or would have drowned? :)
Thanks so much!
Haha its a mystery x)... but yes there is an ending, you know once you get sent back to the start screen :)
It's been said multiple times already, but I think it bears repeating. The art style and atmosphere in this game is AMAZING. I could see this being an actual game on steam. Aside from that, my only suggestions would be perhaps to increase the gravity when jumping, and to have the walk be faster/implement a sprint mechanic. All in all, pretty great! If you have the time, I'd also appreciate it if you could take a look at my game!
Thank you, those are great suggestions! I originally had a running mechanic but removed it pretty early on, I might consider adding it back in though haha... and I'll take a look ^^
in love of the atmosphere and the feelings that you can achieve with that super pixel art.
Narrative is very cryptic, and the concept for there and back is really awesome.
Great Work!
Could you check my entry? I´ll really appreciate it, thanks!
thank you! and for sure c:
Very good! And the atmosphere is unique! Your pixel art is outstanding! Similar to my approach, if you feel like checking my game!
Thank youu! I'm really curious about how they are similar :o ... I'll check it out soon!
The sense of mystery and the art style is outstanding, I can't add anything else.
The walking speed is a bit slow, although I believe it was intentional for a long play.
The story is interesting.
I love the game.
Thank you! that's a really solid review. ^^
And you're right about the walk speed! I tried to evoke a kind of helpless feeling with the stress of wanting to go faster (like you can't escape time...)
Consider checking out our game too!
can only test games on mac/web at the moment, but I will get to it soon ^^
The art is fantastic! the animations could use some work but the environment is stunning! You did a really nice job of setting the tone ans atmosphere. Fantastic job!
It would mean a lot if you could check out my Jam submission if you get the chance. Thanks!
thank you for the feedback!! and for sure c:
Very well done pixelart, great pallet, but the walk cycle could be a bit more fluid. Feels a little choppy when I was playing. The collectibles being memories is interesting, and the there an back is a bit more unique than most. It would of however been rather nice to have a bit more visual feedback to when its getting close to the reverse time than just having to keep the time in mind.
Music is very suiting, and the story is very intriguing.
If you want to spread the review love check out our game as well and let us know what you think!
Thanks so much for the detailed feedback! I'll definitely keep it in mind. I didn't get the chance to refine the animations as much as I wanted... well because time limitations. c:
I'll go check out your game as well!
Well accomplished pixelart, good choice of color palette and overall representation with animations.
And fits with both of the themes.
Let me know your opinion of my game too :D
thank you for the feedback!! I'll go check out your game for sure c:
It was a nice experience, it looks awesome, helped by the nice blue colors, giving a sad nostalgic vibe. I feel a little intrigued and confused about the story, but the fact that it plays with time loops makes it a even better game!
I'd be nice if you check out my game :D
thank you so much!! and I'll definitely go check out your game c:
Art was so good! Just wish I could move a bit faster
thanks so much for the input!
I'm a big fan of the art style and music selection. Neat game!
thank you so much!
I LOVED IT! But I thought it was kinda long...
thank youu! and I'll keep that in mind ^^
omg this was so good. please keep making more stuff
ah thank youu, I will try <3
