The focus was pretty simple and clever, well done. It's really a prototype, no polish, and fun anyway. I think, the collider used for falling should be smaller than the one for actual collision. The fact that we re-heat while we shoot is a good idea, but you could be more generous on this to reward the take of risk of make them quickly. I can't see the whole thermometer in web version, and a bit in full-screen version (16/10 screen).
Overall you got a strong concept you can polish and extend. Great prototype !
Thank you ! Glad you had fun with it )
For character I made 2 colliders - one for wall, that aaa actually "collide". Other collider is 3 times smaller - "death collider" for purple pits. Despite of its size, I agree, sometimes death feels unfair. Maybe I should add "coyote time" analogue, gave a couple of ms to actually activate trigger? It's a riddle )
Yeah - in my mind, there was a risk / reward idea. You shoot to heat up thermometer, but knockout may push you in the pit. But I took a very wise decision and postpone level design and level testing on last day, then on last hour of the last day. And perfect child of that decision - not a game, but prototype )
The movement when you shoot feels really good. For a prototype, this is amazing and I really want to see how it turns out.
Oh, thank you for your comment!
Interesting concept! Well done!
Thank you!
Good use of the theme and limitation. I also like the cute art.
I couldn't see the thermometer, fullscreen or not. And there was no leeway on touching the purple.
Thank you!
Hmmm, maybe there problems with browser/resolution? I should test project more next time.
About "leeway" - just replay game and could agree with that too, I should be more generous with colliders.
Cool prototype !
I found the movements where a bit fast and a bit slipery. but the shooting for jumping gaps is very satisfying.
Well done :)
Thank you! Yeah, I agree, movement and maps designs not well matched.
