Took me a bit to understand, but my second playthrough was much better than the first. It was a bit unclear what was going on, and I stopped my first playthrough before the fires appeared. I'm glad I gave it a second shot though, because once I got to the main gameplay it was fun. The music was really good, and I like the art style. Overall a good experience.

I don't think I got it..  Looked nice and easy controls. Good adhearance to the theme :)

This is an interesting one... Very artsy... Fantastic implementation of both theme/focus and all the diversifiers. I really liked it! Saved 83 trees. Good Job

Very fun. It took me a little while to understand the concept until the fires appeared. But after it was a fun challenge. Great incorporation of music (really good) and creative use of themes. The energy of the game was a lot of fun to play and it built up suspense and pace well. Great job!

thanks for dropping by baylight!

Glad you enjoyed it! I'm so happy it felt this way, I tried my best to do justice to the songs.

Cheers again!

Really fun and creative take on the jam focus and theme. You also nailed all the diversifiers so bonus points there (I didn't recognize this as a spoonsweet game at first as it strays away from your typical pixel art style but makes sense given the shapely diversifier). It was like playing a piece of art in a way though I think I lost way too many trees during the fires. Played a couple of times and only got 61 saved as my best score :0

hey Sid Fish! Thanks for dropping by!

Glad you enjoyed it, yeah the diversifiers led to this creation. It had to be somewhat broken and brutal I guess, sorry! Like many games, you can probably get a better result by spamming around, making more checkpoints and pressing space to activate their watering ability.

Thanks again for playing!

So much atmosphere from simple shapes. The fire really my me feel on edge. Great concept and execution! Well done Spoon!

Thanks for playing Xanderwood! It is an amazing song! I kept hearing it for years, I am so happy I managed to create a cool concept around it.

Cheers for dropping by, thanks for the support!

PS: It was so cool to have you as a fellow contestant instead of the mastermind game organiser :D CANT WAIT FOR GDKOOOOO

i actually really liked this! it felt like a small story over six minutes! i still only managed to save 127 trees tho lol

Developer(+1)

thanks for playing Malek!
127 should be a bit less than a half, so you did good! If it was coded better it could have been easier to play with.

Cheers for dropping by!

Took me a while to figure out how to control the player or even what the player was. Once I figured it out it was pretty good.

Developer

Thanks for giving it a try and sticking to it!
It did have to be a bit abstract to fit the numerous constraints.  Of course, it could have actually been a better game hehe

Thanks for playing Waysneighborgo!

Spoonsweet, this was different than I'm used to seeing from you, but man I liked it.  Took me a playthrough to get the idea down.  But once I did, it clicked pretty easily.

I did have a little issue with the aim near the end of each run.  It seemed like the shot would get sort of stuck on the previous paths.  Does that make sense?

Overall, though, it's a pretty minor thing.  It's a great use of all the tools: audio, gameplay, and story.  Nice work!

Developer

Hey Brainfart!
Thanks for playing! Yep, the point was for the shot to get stuck on the paths, as by then you would have created new checkpoints I imagine :D

But I was toying with the idea of slowly removing some points so it didnt get too crowded. Oh well!

Thanks for dropping by!
