Fun game, it looks like you added coyote jump which is always a good idea and the look of the game is good too! I do wish the screen with the lore had an option to skip or was quicker just so I could get back to the gameplay much more easily. Really great job!

Good point about the lore screen and yes, I added coyote jump. Thanks for the feedback :)

A little buggy but pretty nice game ! I liked how you used the checkpoints.

The transition (black) screen did not seem to scale properly and only displayed in a corner of the screen. And I indeed got stuck in the ground at some point ^^

Apart from that it a really nice entry. good job :)

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I'll try to make less buggy games in future jams ;)

Very nice Game, I like the Looks alot! And the Idea of dropping your "grave" and respawn at it when you get defeated is amazing. Great Idea! I like it a lot!

Developer

Thank you! Glad you liked it :)

I like the concept, it could really use some sound and music though. https://sfxr.me/ goes a long way ;-)

The art is very nice. The technical implementation has some glitches, but you already know that :) overall well done, I was kinda sad when I reached the end, hoped for some more complicated puzzles.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!
I would have loved to add sound and music but I just didn't have the time :/ But thanks for the link, gonna add it to my list!
Good to hear you wanted more, I will probably try to polish this game up a bit and explore more complicated puzzles once the jam is over :)

Cool interpretation of the theme, it felt really nice dying in the right spot and rolling down hills , it felt like Sonic fell asleep in his ball state and arrived at the next area. The time between respawns felt a little long sometimes as I'd have to wait for the ball to stop moving, would be nice if you could minimize that time. Enjoyed the art style, it's simple but beautiful in a minimalist pixel art way.

Developer

Thank you! I also really liked the rolling down myself ;) It was kind of a coincidence at first, but when I realized how fun it was I put it into more places. I really have to find a solution for the waiting though.

I love the idea of being able to pick up and move your checkpoint! I would love to see some more levels where the idea is explored further. I would also really like to have a bigger screen so I can see more of my surroundings, with a small screen like this there was a lot of trial and error.

Developer

Thanks so much! I also hoped to have more time to explore more complex puzzles. I will probably try to polish the game and add some puzzles after the jam :)
